This is called Double Jeopardy! You can’t try a person twice for the same crime. This is like a do over!

There you go...thinking logically and fairly....of course you can try someone twice, only you have to be a certain color to get a Mulligan

People can be tried by state and feds for same crime, it is done all the time. In order to get around that pesky double jeopardy issue the federal charges are usually different. For example a really common federal catch-all charge is violating someone’s civil rights.
