Norm, I hope you can see that a “vote of conscience” was an option in 2008 because of the poor choice we were presented with. At least Ron Paul stands for something.

John McCain stood for nothing.

So, I can see where Rabs was coming from. I did not choose that way, but I can respect his choice. He didn’t have to swallow his principles to cast his vote.

I had to.

Norm, I know you and Lakeshark love this country as much as we all do,and you are principled in the same way, in spite of any heated rhetoric.

Today, a gauntlet was thrown down by a lying President and a craven cowardly GOP leader of the Senate.

The enemy is now transparent before us.

We have to close ranks and fight the real enemy now. It is going to be a rough 1.5 years ahead.

Exit, I see it clearly. MCaun was a horrible choice and there were 2 reasons I voted for him Obama and Palin - one to get, one to get rid of. Under no other scenario can I imagine having voted for him and as I stood there i the booth it took everything I had to mark his box.

Paul, I personally think has a lot of good ideas but his foreign policy to me makes him a crazy man. Thats the politest way I can put it. Yes, he stood for something - some I believed, a lot I did not.

McCain stood for nothing - truer words were never spoken. But Palin did (does) and so that Ticket got my vote.

Paul was always far behind M/P in the polls. There was never a chance at any point in the election he would win. That isn’t even arguable. So he was a protest vote, plain and simple. Because people cast that protest vote and/or stayed home altogether, we elected a Marxist who has and continues to dismantle America. I do not think you would dispute the damage he has done domestically or overseas.

Real people like you and I and Lake and Rabs are responsible for the votes we did or did not cast. Those votes or lack of them did in fact determine that Obama would be the President. All the rationalization, discussion, bomb throwing and postmortem analysis will not change that very real truth.

Yes, I get heated and yes I love my country. If I did not, I wouldn’t bother arguing with anyone. And yes I will fight side by side with even SOL and rabs when it comes down to it.

But remember the truth above. Rabs may have stood on principal, but it in a very real way contributed to the damage done to the country we all love. There is just no honest way to get around that.

He is on a site that calls itself “Palin Country by the Founder yet calls we who swallowed our pride and principals for the greater good of America Socialists. Thats me, you and JR. Yes, I take GREAT offense to that. “WE” did our part to NOT elect a Marxist bu supporting Palin.

But if he fights the libs and the Rinos when it counts I’ll be right beside him, despite the damage that his principled stance has in a very real way done to this country. Because I want the country fixed, not further destroyed.

Do you, like the Rabadash ping list think there would be no difference had McCain won?

Do you think McCain=Obama?

Do you think he would have had a trillion dollar stimulus and given it all to his cronies? Do you think we would have something called McCain care? Do you think he would have grandstanded for weeks that he alone was so gutsy because he killed Osama? Do you think he would have stopped drilling in the gulf? Do you think his justice department would have stopped the Black Panther voting prosecution?

There's a lot more, ad nauseum infinitum....

I don't like McCain one bit, he was never my first, second, third, or even fourth choice to be the GOP nominee, but I really think those who cavalierly claim McCain=Obama are truly borderline crazy.
