There are legal and filing requirements at the federal level and in each of the 50 states. Those requirements have deadlines.

So? Her campaign missed the Texas deadline last year (as did the Obama-Biden campaign), yet that didn't mean anything. Some don't have to follow the rules.

Which deadline is that? My info says the GOP primary filing deadline for Texas is next January. It's just a quick look, so it could be wrong. Do you have a source?
