Police in Grand Rapids say that seven people were shot and killed at two locations on Thursday and they are actively searching for suspect Rodrick Shonte Dantzler.
Police say three people, reportedly two women and a 10-year-old girl, are dead at one scene, and four others were killed at a separate scene about two miles away, reports CBS affiliate WWMT.
According to a local station, another man was shot in what police believe is a related incident, but was not killed.
The shootings stemmed from a domestic issue, reports The Grand Rapids Press.
Police say they are searching for the 34-year-old Dantzler. Dantzler is described as a black male, about 6-feet-2-inches tall, weighing 265 pounds with a large, muscular build, dreadlocks, and tattoos all over his body.
Dantzler is believed to be driving a cream Lincoln Towncar, Michigan plate BWK-2308.
Dantzler has a criminal record. He pleaded guilty in 2010 to assault and battery and served about a year. In 2000 he entered a guilty plea to assault with bodily harm less than murder and was sentenced to three to ten years.
In 1997 he was given a year of probation for malicious destruction of property, and in 1992 he was charged as a juvenile for breaking and entering.
Police say Dantzler is to be considered armed and dangerous.
Anyone who sees Dantzler is asked to call 911 or their local police department.
Good news would be the perp giving his life to Christ.
All I know is he was shot, but walking and talking.
If I heard right, AMR is on scene. When I lived in the area, AMR was the preference of all the first responders I knew.
I think I’ll check out the TV stuff now. It’ll be speculation, but you never know.
Well if he shot himself through the head that would be a flesh wound.

It’s no consolation for all those families and friends who are suffering, but that’s the only way MI can enact the death penalty. Convince, badger or stress out the animal so he offs himself.
And we are spared from shelling out three squares and a cot.

The chief said that one of the children was the murderer’s, and at each house was an X of the murderer.

Everyone he killed, or tried to, was White, except for his daughter with the estranged wife he murdered. He murdered an ex-girlfriend, the ex-girlfriend’s sister and that sister’s daughter; he murdered his estranged wife, their daughter, and both his wife’s parents; he shot at a ‘friend’, who was apparently hit but will survive.
There’s only about half a paragraph about this buried in the local papers here today, and of course no mention of race nor photographs.
