All county and city council meetings are videoed here in Northern Nevada. Even the small ones. The City of Reno has five or six cameras in the room.

OK, that explains it. But the mayor must have allowed the video to be shown.

I did notice the council chamber was pretty fancy for a town of under 4,000 population and the council was removed from the audience by a barrier. Wonder if it doubles as a courtroom? That is what it looked like.

Council Meetings are “public” meetings and most states have “open meeting” requirements to reduce the smoke filled backroom nonsense.
