Casey Anthony juror Jennifer Ford said today that she and the other jurors cried and were "sick to our stomachs" after voting to acquit Casey Anthony of charges that she killed her 2-year-old daughter Caylee.
"I did not say she was innocent," said Ford, who had previously only been identified as juror number 3. "I just said there was not enough evidence. If you cannot prove what the crime was, you cannot determine what the punishment should be."
The jury's jaw dropping not guilty verdict shocked court observers, but it was also a difficult moment for the panel, Ford said in an exclusive interview with ABC News. No one from the jury was willing to come out and talk to the media in the hours after the verdict.
"Everyone wonders why we didn't speak to the media right away," Ford said. "It was because we were sick to our stomach to get that verdict. We were crying and not just the women. It was emotional and we weren't ready. We wanted to do it with integrity and not contribute to the sensationalism of the trial."
Instead of murder, Casey Anthony, 25, was found guilty of four counts of lying to law enforcement and could be released from jail as early as Thursday.
Ford praised the jurors.
"They picked a great bunch of people, such high integrity. And there was high morale," she said. "We all joked. We are like a big group of cousins."

Earlier today, the prosecutor and an alternate juror agreed on why the jury had refused to convict Anthony: They couldn't prove how little Caylee Anthony died.
"It all came down to the evidence," said Florida state attorney Jeff Ashton on "The View."

THE LAST WORD.......
The last person seen with Caylee was her mother. Nobody sees the baby for a month during which time mom parties nonstop. Mom lies the entire time and says baby is with a sitter later found to be nonexistent. Baby is found dead with duct tape over mouth. CASEY KILLED CALEY - CASE CLOSED!

That’s right, approximately 4,000 mothers killed their children today, they just didn’t use duct tape.
If you put duct tape over a person’s mouth and nose, you know they are going to die from this. Premeditated.

Then some of them should have held out. Hung jury means a mistrial and the prosecution has another chance. I’m no legal expert, but I’m right about this, aren’t I?

is reporting Casey is already pregnant again.. just what I heard I have no idea myself if it’s true.
I’m not losing sleep over it her acquittal.
But I would lose sleep if an innocent person was executed.
Remember the Peterson guy in Chicago? The cop with three, or was it nearly four dead wives?
Here’s what we know:
According to the defense, 2-year-old Caylee drowned, and the Dad covered it all up after sexually molesting Casey. Then mom did internet searches for chloroform. Then she didn’t.
No one knows who used Casey’s computer to do the internet searches for “neck injuries, chloroform, inhalation, death, head injuries,” and “internal bleeding.” Or who deleted them.
Then Casey worked at Universal Studios for two years. Then she didn’t.
Then according to Casey, she left Caylee with a Nanny named...uh...Zanny. That’s when the trouble began. Zanny kept Caylee for 31 days, while the family kept asking where Caylee was. Then she didn’t. Because there WAS no Nanny named Zanny.
My theory is that Caylee put duct tape over her own mouth, walked into the woods, climbed into the trash bag, and suffocated.
Casey was so distraught by her father raping her that she didn’t even notice Caylee was missing. And she tried to forget about Rapist Dad by partying and getting tattoos and making up more lies about Zanny the Nanny. Also, in not reporting anything to the police for a month.
But the main thing is, this is a “HUGE VICTORY FOR JUSTICE”® and we can all celebrate the jury’s verdict!

all you both babble about is how great our wonderful system is. Well, it is. This time though the scum went free. Somebody caused this child’s death, if not Casey Anthony then who?
How does a baby ‘accidentally drown in a pool’ and then winds up in a swamp with duct tape affixed plus Momma doesn’t report it for 31 days. If that’s not a swiss cheese twist of a defense who knows what is?
I just wanted to repost it. :-)
One more instance of making excuses. That trial was loaded with ‘em. DISGUSTING: You jurors committed the verdict; and you can make no excuses for that.
