Morning all, didn't see a thread for today so I created one.
“But again, the motive they brought up was in now way connected to any evidence that the defendent murdered her child.”
It doesn’t need to be “connected”, the connection that connects ALL of the circumstantial evidence is the dead baby. See my post, #2125, since I don’t feel like repeating that explanation.
I don’t think people who are saying she isn’t guilty listened to half of the case. There was plenty of evidence presented to convict her.
Maybe they heard bits and pieces but if they had heard all of it or read any of the transcripts it is hard to understand why they think the prosecution didn’t prove their case.
And thanks, but my experience is that even explaining things as simply as possible only changes a very small percentage of minds.
Yes, the prosecutors could have done a better job, but it probably wouldn’t have mattered.
Me, too, Girlene. I also agree with your tagline.
Maybe I am wrong, but I watched the entire closing arguments and the judges charge to the jury. I believe the judge listed manslaughter and even child abuse, not just aggravated manslaughter or child abuse.
I agree about Hannity.
His show can be summed up in five minutes, he repeats himself over and over and over again. I can’t listen to his radio show any more at all.
What did I say that bothers you so much about my parenting?
That I honor the rule of law in this country and don’t think juries should judge based on their own emotions and “gut” feelings?
The fact that I am angry at the prosecution and investigators because they simply didn’t do their job? At least my anger is directed at the correct people.
Sure, you may get an idiot juror every now, but it’s highly unlikely to get 12 at the same time.....especially 12 that believe in the death penalty....
All I did was simply ask you to reconsider who you were blaming. I mentioned nothing about you posting on FR....so I’m not sure why you referred to JR, as I am pretty sure he has no problem with people trying to persuade other people to see things in a different light. That is a cornerstone of FR....good debate and listening to and learning from others. I do know that personal attacks are NOT something FR prides itself on.
I believe then at some point, George will revenge kill Casey, then take his own life.

That’s exactly what my mother said to me...
Undoubtedly all democrats, and not a rocket scientist in the bunch.
“Im hearing ‘it wasnt proven beyond a reasonable doubt’ all over the TV.”
The problem is that the legal standard has become “proof beyond the idiotic doubts of 12 people, all of whom are too stupid to get out of jury duty, while stupid enough that the defense lawyers want them on the case.”
Count One, First Degree Murder: If Casey Anthony is convicted of first degree murder, regardless of whether it is on a theory of Pre-meditated Murder or Felony Murder she will receive at a minimum a life sentence. A life sentence in Florida is a true life sentence, which means there is no parole or early release. A defendant convicted of first degree murder only leaves prison after his or her death. The only alternative to a life sentence is death by execution.
Lesser Included of Count One, Second Degree Murder: (depraved mind murder, not premeditated) The maximum penalty for Second Degree Murder is a life sentence. The minimum sentence is based on the Criminal Punishment Code. The estimated minimum sentence for this charge and other charges which might result in conviction along with this count would be 24 years, 6 months.
Count Two, Aggravated Child Abuse: The maximum penalty for aggravated child is 15 years in prison. The estimated minimum sentence for this charge and other charges which might result in conviction along with this count would be 12 years, 1 month.
Count Three, Aggravated Manslaughter of a Child: If Casey Anthony is convicted of causing the death of Caylee by culpable negligence the maximum sentence is 30 years in prison. The estimated minimum sentence for this charge and other charges which might result in conviction along with this count would be 16 years and 6 months.
Counts Four Through Seven, Giving False Information to a Law Enforcement Officer in Reference to a Missing Person: The charge in these four counts carries a maximum of one year in county jail for each count. As a result if convicted of all four of these counts, Casey Anthony could receive a sentence of four years if the sentence for each count is run consecutively.
I won’t argue with your description of her.
But I am convinced of her fate.
It will be death or jail, maybe committment to a mental institution at some point.
The defence brought it up during the live testimony when they were trying to tie George to it.NO link but it was in the testimony somewhere that I heard.I can’t believe the prosecuter didn’t make it more of an issue. It had the company logo on the tape and was specifically made for the I believe 100th anniversary of Duct tape.
You’re exactly right.
People get stuck on stupid and latch on to one statement and don’t look at all the evidence. She’s as guilty as they come!
No one from the Anthony family could even look at Casey after the trial. They know she did it. Not one of her friends or boyfriends that originally supported her does now.
CNN stated that some of her defense attorneys, before joining the team, said they were sure of her guilt. Now they’re out partying because their careers are made!
I am interested in crime and following trials but I have decided there needs to be a limit.
I can’t think of many places gov’t belongs— gov’t crushes freedom left and right and mostly I want gov’t to shut the L up and stand down.
Making money off a crime, a dead person... needs to be limited. Even an innocent, freed person shouldn’t make money off the murdered.
Even under the guise of buying photos. That’s full on BS and we all know it. It is a PAID interview!
More than Casey getting off, and my believing she’s guilty... doesn’t bother me nearly as much... as Casey getting rich off her daughters death.
Some talking heads are saying that the prosecution should never have gone for the death penalty, that the jury may have been so afraid the death penalty would be used they wanted to neutralize that possibility. I thought it was the jury who determines the penalty as well as a verdict. How could they come up with that excuse for this jury?
I believe when Casey walks, George and Cindy will take her back. I believe then at some point, George will revenge kill Casey, then take his own life

i was so drained after this disgustibng verdict and laid down and took a nap. Do you know I dreamed this exact scanerio and George used a gun on her and then shot himself pointing gun up jaw. Wierd. But there s going to be more tradegy from this all.
