In the Part 2 link, at the end Governor Perry says he has no interest in running for President. He is focusing all of his energies on what is going on in the Texas House of Representatives and Senate saying, “Until I can get the legislative session over with I will not get distracted from the work at hand.” This was on the Part 2 video.

I trust your feelings about Governor Perry are spot on being a good Texas conservative. I only know about him from what I have seen on Fox. The videos I have given you links for show me a very likable human being. I wish we were as lucky in our State of Washington to have a governor like yours. I like what he has said about Sarah Palin. They have seem to have a jovial relationship. Perry spoke about how Sarah talked about a T-shirt that showed an outline of Alaska around a much smaller outline of Texas with the words, “SIZE MATTERS.” You can see that conversation on the following video:

Here is another video about your 1254 mile border with Mexico that I find very revealing: Under Attack - Greta On The Border, Part 1

It is absolutely necessary that we secure that border before we talk about anything else. I am sure that if Sarah Palin is elected, something will be done about that.

The Texas legislature is in its second special session. The regular session ended weeks ago. So far, they haven't produced much of what average Texans want from their state government, and I haven't seen that Gov. Perry has been all that persuasive in getting them to put any sort of landmark legislation on his desk.

Frankly, I don't see the point in him waiting until the legislature wraps up its business, to make a decision about whether or not to run. Sounds more like a convenient dodge to a reporter's question, than an honest statement of what he's actually up to.

There's simply too much talk about him running, not to put any stock in it. My guess is that he really does want to see what Sarah's going to do. As you said, they do seem to have a congenial relationship, and I'm sure he knows that his chances of winning the nomination are doomed, if she really does get in.

I doubt that he'd want a failed bid for the White House on his record. Better to partner with her as the VP running mate, or wait til after she's completed two terms in office.

Then again, if by some miracle, she actually stays out, it'll be a green light for him to run.
