ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - Gay marriage will become legal in New York state after the Republican-led state Senate voted to approve it. Advocates are calling it a historic step as New York stands to become the sixth but by far the largest state to legalize same-sex marriage.
Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo lobbied hard for the bill and has promised to sign it.
The Senate vote is viewed as a major gain in an effort to allow gay marriage nationally.

There are plenty of states whose citizens do not capitulate to this evil. Even the citizens of California voted overwhelmingly to protect the Biblical definition of marriage.
The problem is the communist judges who overturn it.
The other states like NY are similarly led by tyrants.
The next step for the homos is to take this to the Federal level and force those states that do not recognize queer marriage to reciprocate, that is, recognize the queer marriages from other states. Their argument will be that it is discriminatory for there not to be “equality” across the states.
And remember, folks, one of the arguments AGAINST queer/homosexual/same-sex marriage is that it is not fair that homosexuals have EXTRA rights.
Heterosexuals abide by the law that we cannot marry someone of our own sex. Homosexuals have those same limitations. AND homosexuals are as free as heterosexuals to marry anyone they want, provided that other person meets the same requirements that heterosexuals are limited to (opposite sex, age requirements, bloodline requirements, not currently married).
But the homosexuals want the EXTRA right of being able to marry someone of the same sex.
Thus, homosexuals want SPECIAL RIGHTS, not EQUAL RIGHTS.
38 states have either voted it down, or amended their constitutions to forbid it.
Upstatehood is the only answer to the problem of Downstate.
Best thing for the NY conservatives to do would be to move to PA en masse and take it over. It would be enough to tip the scales and take it away from the libs. Of course, finding a job anywhere now is a major problem, so not sure if that strategy would work...
You are PROBABLY right. God will send a great delusion on those who are against Him. I just don’t know when it will happen, after the rapture or before?
Sad day for us New Yorkers, just sad - all done under the cover of darkness on a Friday night.
2012 is going to be big. Let's not give up because NY and Massachusetts elected lefties and RINOs.
Look to the South. A new Confederacy of conservative states is the only hope at this point. That or scatter to the 4 corners of the earth.
They are alot of good conservative folk in NY. You guys are just outnumbered by the NY libs and Rinos sadly. Im sure other conservatives would love to have you all as neighbors.
Come to VA (Valley- stay out of NOVA) or NC. We need all the conservatives we can get to fend off the libs that have moved in from the northern border.
“Even the citizens of California voted overwhelmingly to protect the Biblical definition of marriage.”
If you are talking about prop. 8, it was passed by a little over 52% in 2008. I would expect NY to be very close as well in any sort of general vote on the subject.
It isn’t really about rights or marriage in my opinion, although you are correct that that is the argument they use. It is simply about statists and homosexualists being able to eventually punish those who won’t accept their ever evolving definition of marriage.

PA people are nearly as liberal but not as wealthy as the privileged New Yorkers.
A Southern Confederacy :) Don’t forget VA. But there are also some border states that can be had with strategic migration. PA hangs by a thread and only goes blue in presidential elections because of massive fraud. WV, OH and IN are both easily had as well. Then you have all the western states such as UT, MT, WY, OK, KS, etc.
8Harden not your heart, as in the provocation, and as in the day of temptation in the wilderness:May apply to our country, not just New York...
9When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my work.
10Forty years long was I grieved with this generation, and said, It is a people that do err in their heart, and they have not known my ways:
11Unto whom I sware in my wrath that they should not enter into my rest.
Ever been to PA’s conservative T? Hardly liberal, actually more conservative than most Southern states. PA is dragged down for it’s eastern anchor and border with NY and for the union controlled west. South Central PA people are great, religious, conservative, hard-working people.
Thank you, MARK. It’s been a rough 24 hours here. I do understand why some folks say, “If you’re a NYer, DON’T come here!” as the same phenomenon happens on a more local scale all the time.
Liberal City dwellers get a little cashola, and WHAMMO, they move out to the ‘burbs. And they bring their City liberalism with them. That’s what happened to Long Island, which used to be almost entirely GOP. No more.
But I’m not like THOSE City dwellers. I left to escape — REALLY escape the liberals in the City. It worked for awhile, but they just keep coming.
I guess I have to go further away somehow...someday.
Regards,
It is one thing for a nation to tolerate behavior that is called an abomination by God. It is another thing altogether when that nation celebrates the abominable behavior and sanctions it to be the equivalent of what God has ordained and declared to be pure.
A nation that follows this road cannot escape judgment.
I fear we may have crossed the Acheron. We have descended into Hell.
I don’t know if there are any weapons left except prayer. It’s a tsunami of evil.

Amishman, rural VA is high on our list of possibilities, specifically the Shenendoah Valley. I’d like to get a large but old house (I’m not too fond of new construction), with a bunch of land and maybe a barn for some horses, a coop for a couple of chickens, and a nice pen for a few goats (for milk to make goat cheese). Maybe with a pond or a small lake.
I understand the Front Royal area has a large concentration of traditionally-minded Catholics. That’s just the ticket we’re looking for, as I just can’t do without the Latin Mass. I’d like to live on a nice spread somewhere out in that area, I think.
Regards,
PS: Oh! And I’d lovelovelove to have one of those “party barns” I’ve seen in homes down South. With a working kitchen and a GREAT big old fireplace in it. I’d invite the whole neighborhood!
