ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - A veteran Republican senator tells The Associated Press he will vote yes on gay marriage, apparently giving the measure the support it needs to become law.
Sen. Stephen Saland (suh-LAND') says he has long been undecided. He voted against a similar bill in 2009, helping kill the measure and dealing a blow to the national gay rights movement.

I’ve seen it many times on FR how posters from other parts of the country so easily write off their fellow conservatives in so called Blue States, even when it’s brought to their attention. I don’t have a name for it, but it strikes me as being some sort of class warfare.
Don't they know about homosexuals, that
If Obama is re-elected, I will be willing to leave the country.
Good night.
The person who wrote that lives in Massachusetts and does tremendous work fighting the fag agenda.
Exactly. At the very least it’s aggressive idiocy. I live in one of the two states that allows doctor assisted suicide and in many way is ultra liberal. The cities are liberal, the rest of the state is conservative.
After seeing what they teach in the public schools in MA, I’d say it’s a lost cause, but good someone is fighting the good fight.
Militant homosexuals will see to it that those exemptions wind up in court.
good one! LOL!
I really prayed and prayed. I feel so bad.
Reminds me of the reference to a "false peace" which will come in force one day....looks like it's already in motion from how these leaders are speaking. Deception has begun now at the top...and it wont' be just a trickle on down thru the rank and file.
With Republicans like thes, who needs Democrats?
I vote “natural born airhead.” LOL!
Love your tagline.
You’re a good FRiend.
Passed through Plattsburg a few times - I like the place. There are conservatives in NYC (raises hand). There are good people here.
As to your last point, check my home page, towards the bottom. :-)
“Peace in our time” - a phrase that has gone down in infamy.
Thank you - you as well, and so many here.
If a person ain’t too bright, the best thing is to realize it.
I know I’ve got tremendous limitations and realizing that I have them is essential. “Overconfidence in one’s own intelligence” is not a good thing - I read that in a book the other day, described as a cause of great misfortune for the soul.
One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned in life is that there are different types of intellegence, and different learning styles. The trick is to realistically assess oneself, to improve where one can, and be happy with accomplishments achieved with the talents, abilities and help that God gives. Easy enough, huh? :-)
Weird isn’t it how twisted the Lefty mind is? Rich=Bad. Gay=rich. Gay=good. But wait???
Did this guy finally get his price? That’s the real question imho. Seems like he may have played the game well....
It is a failure of civic education and LEGAL education to think that the federal constitution guarantees rump-ranging as a form of “marriage” and a failure of morality for anyone to go along.
