The Republican nomination for president is completely up for grabs, but there's a lot of agreement on who the vice presidential pick should be: Marco Rubio, the freshman senator from Florida. My contacts in the Mitt Romney camp are boasting: "Doesn't a Romney-Rubio ticket sound great?" One senior Romney advisor told me: "We think that could be a dream ticket." Operatives from the pack of other wannabes are thinking ahead to the same Rubio marriage with their candidate.

PERRY/RUBIO
The GOP needs help in three geographic area in 2012: SE Atlantic coast (VA, NC, FL), the Mountain West (NV, CO, NM) and Great lakes (OH). The populations of the first two have a Latino pressence, so Rubio or Susanna Martinez as anyone’s veep makes a lot of sense.
I don’t know if this is Rubio’s best move at this time though. If he joins the ticket and loses, is he more or less compelled to into a crowded ‘16 field to ‘save his spot’ and has to give up his Senate seat after 1 term?
- they know she will not play by 'their' rules!
- they know that deep down she considers them part of the 'problem' and not the 'solution'!
We simply do not need another eligibility controversy right now, especially not on our side of the ledger. Regardless of whether you may agree or disagree, it adds noise to the signal we cannot afford, and there are plenty of others who could benefit the ticket without adding such a controversy. Or is this really about giving in to identity politics after spending all these years condemning the left for using race to win elections?
Who in the hell would support Rubino? Open Border,Amnesty, Go to Hell Mel replacement!
Rubio.
Is Rubio a Natural Born Citizen?
If not, the greatest service Rubio could perform for the country would be to announce that he is not a candidate for President because, like Barack Obama, he is not eligible to the office of President.
In 2008, the Senate declared that John McCain was a NBC on the grounds that he was born to two U.S. citizens.
Which means, by your standards, that the U.S. Senate is composed of “WND/Birthers.”
The greatest service Rubio could perform for this country would be to announce that he is not running, and never will run, for President because, LIKE BARACK OBAMA, he is ineligible.
Were Rubio's parents US Citizens at the time of his birth?
Wasn't the Latter Day Republican or his father born in Mexico?
.
Obama will never be removed from office over birther standards of what an NBC is, nor will they be able to prevent him from running again. And Rubio is almost certain to be a national Republican candidate at some point. If not a VP running mate this time around, then a presidential contender in 2016 if the GOP isn't able to knock off Hussein in 2012.
Going to be interesting if/when Palin, Bachmann or Perry select Rubio as the their VP running mate. He is a very likely selection and whoever our nominee is will not be worrying about WND/birther claims of what an NBC is.
Will the birther crew refuse to support a conservative ticket over their belief that Rubio isn't an NBC? I think most will just drop the issue, realize the courts just don't agree with them, and come around in the end.
