Rick Perry in spotlight at major GOP gathering

http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2011/06/18/rick-perry-in-spotlight-at-major-gop-gathering/

“New Orleans, Louisiana (CNN) - It’s 10 a.m. local time and it’s already 89 degrees outside.

Inside, presidential politics will be heating up in a few hours, when Rick Perry will take the stage here at the Republican Leadership Conference 2011.”

Presumably he already spoke by now.

Article also mentions that Perry is not on the ballot of the straw poll, but Palin is.

Last year Romney won the poll with one more vote than Ron Paul. So I am not sure how much does this mean anyway.

This is my favorite. This will light their fires! They'll forget Sarah Palin in a flash and attack Perry.

Inauguration concert controversy

Perry invited his friend, rock musician Ted Nugent, to perform at a black-tie gala hours after Perry's second inauguration ceremony on January 16, 2007. Nugent appeared onstage during the inaugural ball wearing a cutoff T-shirt emblazoned with the Confederate flag and shouting derogatory remarks about non-English speakers, according to press reports. The NAACP condemned Nugent's wearing the Confederate flag.

From Sarah's book Going Rogue, we get a look at the relationship between Sarah and Rick Perry. It was at Republican Governors Association conference on energy, April 17, 2008 in Dallas, Texas that Sarah and Rick co-hosted, that we get a glimpse into the good relationship they have. The story starts on page 193. Rick Perry introduces Sarah:

"Governor Perry introduced me with some humorous remarks about things we had in common, like loving the outdoors, and something about how we love people who cling to guns and religion, and how we've faced down the good ol' boys. Then I took the podium and opened by teasing the audience about how great it was to be in our "little sister state of Texas."

Sarah gave her speech about Alaska's "three-legged stool approach meeting to our energy needs: conservation, responsible development, and renewable energy sources."

It reveals that Sarah and Rick Perry are on the same page in our nation's energy needs. I won't take time to show how they are on the same page in the social and economic areas now. However, many have remarked that a Perry-Palin ticket would be the Republican "Dream Team." It would be a marriage between the big politics politician and the citizen patriot of the Tea Party. It would put both factions in a dialog which will get the Republican Party back on the same page with the American people and not just making money off the special interest groups.

I will vote for the Republican candidate, regardless of who that might be.

Mission #1 is to replace Obama. No Republican or RINO could be worse.

My perfect candidate does not exist. I have gotten over that. We must depose Obama in November 2012.
