WASHINGTON Representative Anthony D. Weiner has told friends that he plans to resign his seat after coming under growing pressure from his Democratic colleagues to leave the House in the wake of revelations of his lewd online exchanges with women, said a person told of Mr. Weiners plans.
The news comes as Democratic leaders prepared to hold a meeting on Thursday to discuss whether to strip the 46-year-old Congressman of his committee assignments, a blow which would severely damage his effectiveness.

Who else in Congress or other high positions do we NOT know about and might be cooperating with our enemies to keep it to themselves? Who has Obama's pictures or official records then? Or is he just doing it on his own without pressure?
Sorry to see Weiner go. I wanted him to hang like a millstone around the 'Rats necks through 2012.

If it wasn't an election year he would not resign.
This is NOT an Election year.

I don’t feel the least bit sorry for him. I only regret that he didn’t take several dozen of his colleagues and friends out with him. Weiner and all those who think like him are enemies of freedom.

After watching this slimy weasel scream at republicans for months I have to say it is stunningly appropriate justice.
He was the DEMOCRAP water boy for the last couple of years.
Just like the pit-yorkie that Rush used to talk about
When they wanted a classless moron to bad-mouth the pussies in the GOP into submission, they sent Wiener out to bully them from the pulpit.

I think the pix of him wearing a bra and panty-hose probably pushed him over the edge!
I wonder what’s still out there?

"...A lot of Weiners say they are going to pull out, but sometimes they don't......"
Is that a double or triple entendre....?? It's a good one, either way.

Finally!
Maybe now the talkshows/news programs will get on with real news and drop the the tabloid journalism.
We have more important and critical issues facing this Nation than Weiner’s weenie.

, but thats not the problem in my view. The problem is each time these jokers get reelected their feeling of invincibility grows and they assume they are bullet proof. The easy solution is "term limits."
To: illiac
I say everyone who voted for him, should not be allowed to vote in any election for the next 120 months.

The problem is he should be stripped of his pension/health ins and what ever other perks he is going to walk away with!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!He isn't old enough to collect a pension, he has no marketable skills and he's damaged goods. That is why he didn't resign right away. Elliot Spitzer was a multimillionaire and will inherit hundreds of millions more someday (which is why his wife didn't leave him). Wiener has nothing but bills to pay and a high maintenance wife. He's in a world of hurt and IMO it couldn't happen to a nicer guy.
To: Steely Tom
I read that he got a big job with the DNC.
