Rush has been hinting at the big announcement. Now it's finally out. He has produced 4 iced tea products, mail order only, with a portion going to Marine Corps - Law Enforcement Foundation.
LOL. Salmon Rush Tea, the tea you drink when your watching your back.
It was silly I guess to believe something like that...but...anyway thanks for the comeback Yaelle.
Did anyone see the shark that Rush just jumped over?
The country hangs in the balance, tortured under a non eligible Muslim America hater in the White House with the radical Administration in history, and the big announcement is:
teabagging?
yeah, major huge disappointment with Rush. i had ben hoping he would be doing at least 15-30 mins on TV. instead, he promotes another money making adventure. why does a guy making $40million a year need to go out hawking his own tea?
i am afraid rush’s greediness gets to me. yes, i know he is charitable at times, but let’s call his latest capitalist money making thing what it is. i like rush for his good mind, and levity, but his being driven to grab for more and more money really bothers me.
he really needs to be on TV and reach more people. remember the gurgling cod on his TV show? hilarioius, and it always sat on his desk there.
The inevitable commercialization of the TEA Party. Oh gawd.
LOL I forgot about the gurgling cod completely.
It bothers me too and is deeply disappointing. Like someone else commented; he’s been worrying about Tea for these past 10 months? Geez...we are in a free fall and he’s thinking about making a new product line?
I don’t have a problem with the amount of money he’s made; he’s been the voice of sanity but really, where is his mind now? I thought we were all in this together...including Rush. He could be very significant and influential; he has the resources. Instead we get tea...
Maybe he is afterall, just an entertainer.
Just a quick recollection here: When he first launched his ‘membership’ program and started charging to listen to him on line, he made a comment after about a month that the ‘freeloaders’ hadn’t joined but expected everything for free. He kept calling those of us that didn’t join freeloaders. I was livid and zipped an email off to him and told him that if it wasn’t for us ‘freeloaders’ he would be nowhere. Don’t know if he read it but I did notice shortly after that email, the crappy comments stopped.
Echoed my sentiments. Rush, who has about a billion bucks, used up about half his program today to hawk his tea. Rush used to have the best record of talk show hosts concerning the amount of time actually doing the show. Most talk shows, like Hannity's, that boast about being there for you for three hours actually only prate for about half that time.
Just count the minutes the host, for example Hannity, is actually doing his show. There's about fifteen minutes in each half hour. First there's six minutes for the news. Then the host does his thing for about fifteen minutes a lot of that talking about irrelevant crap. Then there's about a seven minute commercial break. Then he comes back and tells you about the great second half hour. Then at the half hour on to news and more commercials. Then he does about ten or twelve minutes. Then more commercials with another small teaser before the hour. Repeat second and third hours, and that's the "three hours of talk" you were promised.
Rush used to be better than the other hosts with less time devoted to shilling. Now he's getting to be as bad as the others. He certainly doesn't need the money.
Rush was the pioneer of the infomercial on talk radio, now they all do it. Rush used to say that he has not added commercials so he went for the infomercial.
I used to never miss a Rush show but lately I don’t care if I miss it, in fact I never used to shop while Rush was on but I’m way over that now.
Rush used to tout his 24/7 so you could listen to his 4th hr. Hell I think he did maybe 3 of those and that stopped, he doesn’t promote it much anymore. I joined for 1 year and let it go as a big disappointment.
Now with this tea crap I guess I can find other things to do.
Mark Levin has also caught the infomercial virus. In fact his show has lost of the edge it had and his shilling for his last book lasted for almost a year and he’s got a new book coming out so we can expect another year of shilling for his new book.
Just seems like talk radio is maybe half talk and half commercials and infomercials. Oh well, I do have an off button.
I certainly don’t begrudge any of the talk show superstars making scads of money, but it seems like we’re getting more ads and less talk as the years go by. Rush is especially disappointing in that respect as he has more money than he can possibly spend now. I wish him success in his new business, but somebody should clue him into the fact that his listeners don’t want to hear more ads. Whenever he goes into his spiel for Lifelock or his other clients, I switch the radio off.
oh yeah how i want this enterprise of his to fail, and for people to keep railing o n him for not going for the TV show.
beck is leaving FOX, surely they have at least a half hour to give him ( with commercials, so he only has 22 mins of air time ).
he could launch into obama whereas FOX won’t touch criticizing him, to me the endless buildup toward something really major......then, what? selling your self out?
maybe rush should join weiner in pride rehab...
this is great, maybe you should have one made up and sent to rush....
Me too/ Not impressed. Ditto heads are going to buy this tea which is a vanity project for his wife?
I’ll bet you a glazed donut that Hannity comes out with a lemonade or his own version of an Arnold Palmer!
Agreed. Sugar causes so many problems, as well. Should be considered poison.
The artificial sweeteners are worse.
