Bachmann has no illusions about becoming POTUS in 2012. Her goal is to get enough attention and show enough money-raising to be picked as the VP running mate. And being a “balance” to whoever is the nominee (hoping this is not Palin or Pawlenty).

Bachmann’s goal is to win as a VP in 2012, and then win to POTUS in 2016. Merely becoming VP would be good enough for her ambitions.

It’s a perfectly sensible strategy, and it has a good chance of succeeding.

I find this whole discussion of who can beat Obama funny. There are more Conservatives then there are Dem's. the Independent voters have already said Obama is destroying the country. So that leaves them two choices vote Republican or stay home. So IMHO anyone that runs against Obama is the winner.If indies all stay home we win because we outnumber libs. If indies vote it will be against Obama. It is a win -win game for Republicans. As long as they do not put Romney as the candidate. Because he will drive away conservatives in droves.
