Boehner adds to calls for Weiner resignation

House Speaker John Boehner on Tuesday joined President Barack Obama and a chorus of other Democrats in suggesting that Rep. Anthony Weiner resign, while a member of Weiner's New York congressional delegation said she expects him to quit soon.

Boehner, who until now has let Democrats wrestle with Weiner's sexually charged messages and photos to several women, responded with a one-word answer when reporters asked whether Weiner should quit.

"Yes," he responded.

Earlier, Rep. Carolyn McCarthy, D-N.Y., told reporters, "Hopefully, we are hearing he might resign in a couple of days." She did not say how she learned that Weiner may soon buckle under the pressure.

Weiner is seeking professional help at an undisclosed location. His wife, State Department official Huma Abedin, is due back from an overseas trip early Wednesday.

” Boehner is a weak, drunk, crybaby, 0 golf buddy elitist, IMHO. He doesn’t need my help aiding the left. “

The only difference with McConnell is he isn’t a drunk ;-)

Actually I dn't think that's the case. I believe any memebr can introduce a resolution to expell another member, It is a privileged resolution. It cannot be tabled, it must be voted up or down.

The House makes its own rules, according to the Constitution and these are not subject to any judicial review. There is no due process involved.

Obviously no member would dare introduce such a resolution unless he had the backing of the House. A GOP member will not do so, should come from the Dems, and Pelosi should be the one to introduce it. She tells Weiner that either he resigns today, of the resoluton is brought up tomorrow.

I think it is best to just stand clear and let them continue.

Precisely.
Boner's correct response would have been: "That decision is entirely up to Congressman Weiner and his constituents."
End of response.

Will Huma personally serve him the divorce papers?

I'm sure she can't wait to shake the name "Humma Weiner".

LOL!

Boehner consulted his golf buddy before jumping on the bandwagon.

AP loves to bury the backstory. His wife,Huma, is much more than just a “State Department official.”.

She is a Muslim and the “Personal traveling assistant” to Hillary..... and I’ll leave it at that....

Boehner is like far too many neutered Republican spineless jellyfish out there.

Also I looked at your chart on highest rates of dying. This morning I flew for about an hour and didn’t die. Time may be gettibng short though according to that chart./
Thanks I think...

Boehner conlcudes that Weiner not “too big to fail” and must resign immediately. No “Happy Ending” for Weiner

Good Lord!
/// ...there is a LOT more than that one MB link.

also, would Hillary insult muslim countries, by bringing a Muslim apostate with her on official visits?

...Islam forbids a woman to marry a Jew. unless he converts. (if not, then she is automatically an apostate.)
...and her OWN Imam made a statement, that she should stay with him...

Thanks for clarification.

Yes, if they wanted to vote to expel Weiner, they should make the Democrats force the issue. It will get muddled in politics if Republicans took the lead. Let the Democrats do it, if it’s going to happen, and let them take the political fallout.

And as you say, Nancy P. and Democrats could force the issue tomorrow, if they really wanted to. They want Weiner to resign and save them the trouble of taking action, I’m sure.

and until this, Weiner was a shoo-in for NYC Mayor (home of the future mosque), and Weiner already had a Facebook page of people supporting him for President...

It's always interesting to find out how many so-called conservatives here hate Republicans more than they hate the leftists/Marxists/Communists/perverts who are destroying this country.

They reveal themselves frequently and it ain't pretty.

we EXPECT liberals to be scum.
but we trust our leaders, and hold them to a higher standard.
Boehner doesn’t call for Rangel to resign, or any of the real criminals.
he laughs and jokes about golfing with Obama, while millions of good conservatives are worrying about a job and paying the mortage, not golf.
...someone like DeMint, who quiet does his best, i have great respect for. and Hunter, and many other GOOD Republicans.

I am so sick of it. Every time Boehner gets mentioned it’s the same garbage. If someone wants to critique a specific decision he’s made fine. But to trash the guy incessantly in the most ugly and mindless terms helps only those who hate America.

we EXPECT liberals to be scum.

Completely irrelevant to my point.

The number one enemy of some freepers is the Republican party. The left has to love them.......politics and bedfellows and all that.....

The burning question is: will the NY Post top today's headline "Obama Beats Weiner" with another tomorrow: "Boehner Stiffs Weiner!"

You cannot make this stuff up, folks. If you did, no one would believe it...
