Remember when movie makers used to create original films instead of recycling past works?
They shouldn’t call it a remake. This is a film that retells an event. The ‘original’ Dambusters film wasn’t original - it was of course a film of the real-world story.
Another example: ‘Titanic’ wasn’t a remake of the (vastly superior and more historically accurate) ‘A Night to Remember’ but a retelling of the Titanic sinking.
Also: “Pearl Harbor” was not a remake of “Tora Tora Tora”.
The article writer needs to tighten his terms up.
