New York Democratic Rep. Anthony Weiner maintained Thursday that he does not plan to resign his seat, despite growing calls from members of his own party for the seven-term congressman to step down in the wake of his admission that he conducted inappropriate online communications with at least six women.
“I’m not,” Weiner told a reporter for the New York Post on Thursday when asked if he planned to resign. “I’m going to get back to work as best I can.”
Weiner said that he is working on making amends with his wife, senior State Department aide Huma Abedin, who the New York Times reported Wednesday is pregnant with the couple’s first child.

The Dems want Wiener out for only two reasons.
1. They can say, “We do TOO have standards. We made Wiener resign.”
2. It gives them political cover to do as much damage as possible the next time a powerful Republican is caught with his pants down, without having to worry about being called hypocrites.
meaning he will not leave office and the republicans are going to force him to leave creating a political nightmare for republicans during the election.
That really has a catchy ring to it! And beside none of his constituents seem to have a problem with any of this. And my congress critter Debbie ,also the DNC Chair says it's his personal business. He should just remember all the dead bodies attributed to Bubba.
This man is a shining example of the Democrat parties highest values, and needs to fight and stay in office.
He is an inspiration and a role model for many.
Let his name remain a household word and remain a beacon of of the Democrat party.

When Congress reconviens next week and everytime he speaks the picture of his package should be up on the screen. Horshack would never have done this.

Bill Clinton committed felonies while in office trying to fix his court case, he did not resign.
Any Democrat that comes out for Weiner’s resignation should be asked, “Should have Kennedy resigned from his Senate seat?”

Me too, Gator. I'll bet you too, that he didn't cotton to being pushed around by the HillBilly duo. And if the Clintons told him that he's to go along with Huma being "pregnant," I'll bet he now sees that "there's nothing in it" for him.
The Clintons would've set Weener up for NYC mayor...just as they've probably carried him along *thus* far...but now his political career is shot. He can no longer benefit from the HillBillys, in exchange for being cover for Huma/Cankles, so he may turn on them and Huma.
Weener needs to remember though that the HillBillys play for keeps.
