Team Bachmann is tripling down. They're now admitting that their plan to backstab Sarah Palin has been in the works for months, as we have been seeing since January.
Most of the dots are now connected, and our repeated warnings on this board and elsewhere are fully vindicated.
BTW, the second "top Bachmann ally" is undoubtedly Steve King, who has been whispering in her ear since last fall and regularly writes pieces for Pollutico.
I continue to be puzzled by Bachmann’s failure to respond.
Bachmanns problem is that Palin has a record in Alaska with 88% approval in Aug 2008. Bachmann cannot compete with Palins record.
And I have NEVER bashed Bachmann before this.
Wasn’t January the month MB returned SP’s contribution from SarahPac? I thought I read that someplace.
The last thing we need is a Consrvative Civil War.
I wonder if Michele even realizes that as soon as the GOP elites finish with using her to destroy Palin, that they will dump her overboard too?
She is either complicit or stuck on stupid.
So mad! Her mailbox is full again.
Would you happen to have some links to stories on the stuff in SC in January? I’m trying to build a little library here and I can’t seem to find it.
Wow so your basing all that on a top Bachmann ally, speaking on the condition of anonymity to Politico. Wow that sounds real reputable. For all we know this could be some low level staffer Bachmann doesn’t know or has never met. Politico’s MO is gossip and pot stirring.
Bachmann political career died yesterday. I was reading her FB page and her supporters aren’t happy to say the least.
The damage has been done and any apology now is meaning less. Sarah may forgive Bachmann but I won’t. I don’t know but Bachmann always can across as an opportunist when her inserted herself in to the Tea Party movement.
I would be surprised if some jealous isn’t in play as well. Bachmann saw first hand what a Palin rally is and thats when the wheels started to turn. The returning of SarahPAC’s check always seemed odd to me.
All I know is I’m with Sarah.
Pass.

Possibly for now, but only until "The Undefeated" hits the cinemas. Once that movie starts playing, Bachmann's toast. Every time she takes a shot at Mme. President, it'll backfire, painting Michelle as just another wrinkled, jealous, sour-grapes, anti-Palin attack harpie.
I honestly thought Michelle was above this. The others who have said the following are dead right: Bachmann is a substitute, a second-string bench player, who has been filling the void while Sarah watches from the sidelines. Once Palin gets back in the game, Bachmann becomes completely irrelevant, and especially useless if she persists in taking sniper shots at her First String game-winning superstar.
Michelle, I never knew you...

“Michele Bachmann obviously is a member of Congress and a representative of the tea party,” Rollins told CNN viewers. “But at the end of the day, we have to get our serious players out front and talking about the things that matter to be the alternative to the president and Democrats.”
Ed Rollins CNN January 2011
“At the end of the day, you know, we’re going to have a candidate who has been a governor, I assume. There’s no Washingtonians in this mix. It ain’t going to be Donald Trump. I don’t think it’s going to be Congresswoman Bachmann.”
Ed Rollins MSNBC - Hardball April 2011
Right-on Ridgerunner!
I rarely have been more disappointed in a politician.
Bachmann may have harmed her career, not just her chances of winning the GOP nomination, in ways she can't imagine yet.
