Et tu, NPR? Drive-by Media stabbed in the back by one of its own.
NPR ^ | June 7, 2011 | Robert Allison

I wondered the Why Drive-by Media stopped mentioning Sarah's alleged gaffe about Paul Revere warning the British. Turns out their assertions that she is ignorant of American History boomeranged to show the Lamestream Press were the ignorant ones. Even the NPR interviewer was caught off-guard with her own History expert and tried to invoke the old "what other history experts agree with you" argument. He interrupts her and in a very diplomatic and somewhat humous way says she wouldn't be interviewing him except for Sarah reference to Paul Revere. They both laugh. Personally, I think Sarah set the Drive-bys up knowing they swallow the bait hook line and sinker, which they did, proving she outfoxed them again.

I notice that the neocoms have pretty much given up on her. Why Jews don’t get elected to office outside of Jewish enclaves.

Sarah Palin essentially is able to make the Lamestream Media look ignorant anytime she chooses.

It is fun to watch the libtards self destruct. Sadly there are so many of them in positions of influence they will take this nation down with them as they go. IMHO

Liberals are morons and completely deranged.

They only understand a School House Rock version of US history.

The point Palin made was obvious and intellectually consistent:

Don’t screw with us, because we are armed, dangerous and we are not going to supplicate to tyranny.

Paul Revere made the same point to the British.

He says that in his own writings.

How is what Palin said anything than Reagan’s philosophy against the Soviet Union, which was to warn the American people of the threat of Communist tyranny while simultaneously telling the Soviets that we were armed, dangerous and won’t supplicate to them.

The only difference between colonial times, the Cold War and now is that now we are faced with a domestic enemy aka liberals/Marxists, who better get the message that Americans are armed, awake, and intolerant of their government tyranny.

Liberals are wrong because they’re being taught history wrong and they teach what they’ve learned to the next generation and then the next and so on and so forth. It’s a known fact that history revisionism has been in place since the 1950’s.

From the comments at npr;

“Palin’s words are simply floundering gibberish.

This is true of almost every single statement she makes, has ever made or will ever make. The woman, like GW Bush, simply doesn’t read.

We’re talking about a backwoods beauty contest winner who was elected mayor of a fabulously small town in nowhere Alaska...elected on looks in just the same manner that that dolt John McCain selected her for his running-mate based on looks. She became governor of the most sparsely populated state in the union—populated largely by criminals escaped from the lower forty, sociopaths rejecting modern society, non-participatory natives, pan-handlers and very few educated individuals who’ve read enough to distinguish fact from fiction.

She is the Lady Gaga of politics—all gimmick and no substance. She is an absolute embarrassment to the intelligence of her gender and the soundness of American government. The best thing she ever did for Alaska was to quit.

She has been kept alive by The Media and Tina Fey. Quite frankly, if she were ugly, she’d just be an ignorant housewife with too many children. If this were the 1970’s, prior to Reality T.V. and Dancing with the Stars, it would all be over for her.

She IS what’s wrong with America today.”

Sheesh!

I'm so impressed with Sarah Palin!

I mean, when's the last time you ran across a Journalism major that knew anything about history?

This is too little too late. Those who hate Palin will continue to hate Palin and will continue to be unswerving in their opinion that she is an idiot who got it wrong. Meanwhile, they ignore the fact that Barry said there are 58 states, Austrians speak ‘Austrian’, this is the year 2008 and he is an intellectual giant.

He said he had visited 57 states with one more to go; that makes 58. And I do find it easy to remember and have.

Not to pick nits with you two, but doesn't he think there are 60 states? You make the call:

"It is wonderful to be back in Oregon," Obama said. "Over the last 15 months, we've traveled to every corner of the United States. I've now been in 57 states? I think one left to go. Alaska and Hawaii, I was not allowed to go to even though I really wanted to visit, but my staff would not justify it."

57 +1 + Alaska + Hawaii (which his staff would not "justify") = 60.

I agree. He was excluding Alaska and Hawaii, which says he thought there were 60.

Of course that was just a gaffe. As was his Austrians speak Austrian, etc...

Actually, he thought there were 60 states. He stated that he’d been to 57, and had one left to go, but that his staff told him he couldn’t go to Alaska nor Hawaii. Google “57 states comment” and watch it. He manages the whole mess in 25 seconds or less.

There’s laughter on the clip as he says 57 but doesn’t pick up on it and continues on with his added comment about Alaska and Hawaii. Had ANY Republican made that error they’d have been laughed out of the Republican primaries, much less the general election.

No teleprompter apparent at the time...so this was the real Obama speaking...smartest man in America...just ask the MSM
