It appears Palin has read the history of the American Revolution whereas many smarta.. (and ignorant) libs have not. They jumped on her about the “partying like it’s 1773” statement, and she was right about that. Now they cackle about this Paul Revere thing, and she’s right about that. When are they going to confess to being the ignorati that they are?
Thanks, yes, that’s what I posted earlier. It’s a bit jumbled, but she does not state that Revere started out with the concept of warning the British.
She does say that he did warn the Brits, without further stating his goal, which was to negotiate his release once captured.
And she never said that he did. Jeesh!
“This is the way they play to marginalize her (for the WH/DEMs).”
I disagree....
This is HER way of marginalizing the media...which may be one of the most important things she can do.
THEY are her biggest enemy. I hope she continues to show the media for the sophomoric, imbecilic, conniving liberal tools of the administration they are.
(And, that INCLUDES Neal Boortz, who’s made fun of her comment, as well.....I hope it bites him in the ass, too. I’m beginning to think of Boortz as a Neanderthal....)
hee hee... Ignorati? I like that
Sadly enough, you are right. Even after I explain the facts to my lib friends, they just smirk and say “yeah, right”. Never underestimate the gullibility of the American people. The lamestream media certainly hasn’t.
That shocked me. Apparently he doesn’t follow all the news. If he’d read FR he would not have been so surprised when Bill E-go sprang that on him.
Need some commas and parentheses in that sentence!
He warned the British that they werent going to be taking away our arms (By ringing those bells and making sure, as hes riding his horse through town, to send those warning shots and bells) -- That we were going to be secure and we were going to be free.
The first clause is linked to the last, The center portion is set off as an parenthetical explanation of some other non pertinent details. Thus the main focus would read:
"He warned the British that they werent going to be taking away our arms ... That we were going to be secure and we were going to be free."
This is the context in which an objective individual would understand her remarks. Her statement is perfectly factual, but only when the historical context is known by the reader (or listener). Unfortunately for Sarah Palin, too many individuals within the electorate of this country were taught their "history" by the liberal know-nothings whom dominate the public school system ... Or, worse, they received their "education" through the family "idiot box"--television ... A device guaranteed to turn any otherwise normal individual into a brain-dead moron.
He mentioned that it was D-Day and said that for Sarah Palin, D-Day meant the day the report cards were sent home.
The usual routine...if Republicans are not evil, they are just stupid (Dan Quayle, etc.).
I’ll bet Bernie doesn’t know about Dr. Joseph Warren either.:) Or Israel Putnam, or Artemus Ward, etc., etc.
But then, most Americans probably don’t know about these folks either.
Massachusetts was once great. Now it’s a stinking mire overseen by Gov. Patrick. Ugh.
Revere warned the countryside that the regulars were coming out. When he was captured, he gave it to the lobster backs, but the essence of his alarm was to let the countryside know that the regulars were coming out once again, as they had done a handful of times earlier, to perform essentially what we'd call today a gun grab on the provincials' arms.
PMSNBC Had a segment last night where each panelist agreed Sarah had a gaffe. They even went to Buchanan Pat who said she had a gaffe but then went on to defend her for other things.
So with all the articles etc siding with Sarah, they are still going with the lie...surprise surprise
You know more that historians in Boston etc?
You of course realize that you are in agreement with Rachel Maddow, Ed Shultz and Chris Matthews, and all the lefties they could drag up.
I decided to give you the benefit of the doubt, until I took a 45 second look at your previous posts regarding Gov Palin, and why was I not surprised to find that you are not a supporter of the Gov!!!!
Can’t speak for that area but in NC the dialect made a distinction. Britishers and Continentals, as far as militia.
