The green killer: Scores of protected golden eagles dying after colliding with wind turbines
Daily Mail ^ | 06/06/11

California's attempts to switch to green energy have inadvertently put the survival of the state’s golden eagles at risk.

Scores of the protected birds have been dying each year after colliding with the blades of about 5,000 wind turbines.

Who couldn’t see this coming?

Total cluster f**k!!!!

I also believe those turbines emit high decibel noise that is detrimental to both humans and animals.

Once again - why don’t they utilize the air turbulence on high traffic highways and install small, ground level turbines to capture that?

The question is, do they taste like chicken?

Color me skeptical...the turbines don’t turn that fast. Other than running into an occasional window or speeding car, birds aren’t that clueless. Are they?

Because you would need hundreds of small turbines to generate the same output as one large one. And the costs to install those hundreds of small ones would be hundreds of times the cost to install one large one.

The economics do not make sense with either method!

Without Tax Credits there would be no wind generators. That would make GE mad.

While the center of the blade structure turns relatively slowly, the ends are at significant speed (leading to minced birdies). These things bare enormous...see some pics.

The term, "bird brained," isn't because they are Mensa candidates. Birds are almost as stupid as democrats. And, like democrats, birds are too dim to know how retarded they are.

Example: I have heard that turkeys will, in a frenzy, peck at blood spots on other bird in the flock. The more pecking, the more blood spots, and turkey farmers can lose several dozen birds before the slaughter ends.

Democrats will vote for sexual pervs that get off on e-mailing pics of their packages, rationalizing that, "whatever they do in the privacy of their own bedrooms..." You know, the ones who marry carpet chewers with twice as many teeth as a normal human?

Ha ha ha...well I got a laugh out of your Dem comparison. Yeah, I know birds are stupid, but I thought they were pretty gracefull in the air. Seems like they’d steer clear of moving parts.

Birds do not steal every thing you own and then try to convince you that it is for your own good. Democrats do. Birds have honor. Democrats do not.

And because “They” speak for Gaia, they will say:

“Gaia has told us that she is willing to sacrifice some of her creatures for the good of all to stop AGW.”

I think that is genius. I’ve been wondering something like that for a long time. I read an article about some group wanting to install flooring in stadiums that would create energy when crowds walk on them. I can’t see why something similar couldn’t be done with roads.

The answer is out there...

.
