Weiner Admits Sending Photo, Pelosi Calls for Probe

Rep. Anthony Weiner admitted he sent a photo of his bulging underwear to a female Twitter follower and says he has had inappropriate conversations with as many as six women on Facebook and Twitter over the past three years.
House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi called for an Ethics Committee investigation "to determine whether any official resources were used or any other violation of House rules occurred."
During a tearful news conference on Monday, Weiner apologized to his wife, family, constituents and friends, and said he is "deeply ashamed" but does not plan to resign. He said he does not believe he broke the law.

Best thing Boehner could do is to publicly call for an investigation by law enforcement to determine if Weiner committed any crimes (such as sexting to minors) and then decide whether the Ethics Committee should investigate Weiner afterwards.

It is a smoke screen. Notice none of the GOPers have called for an investigation, the ball less bunch of dopes they are.
Meanwhile, our house leader is playing golf with (.)bama soon, great. He will probably let (.)bama talk him out of his position while letting him win.
If Pelosi succeeds with this, everyone will be forced to shut up about it until the ethics investigation is complete . . . sometime in 2013.
Weiner has already confessed to enough wrong-doing to be removed from all positions of leadership. Remove him and let him run for office in 2012 under those conditions.

He made the claim that no government resources were used. That will be investigated. He most likely lied about that.
He said six women. If it turns out to be 12, another lie.
If any of them were underage, big problems.
The GOP needs to line up a third party Dem type candidate to run against him who is willing to put dic pics on negative campaign posters.

I’d rather see Weiner NOT resign.
The only way he would ‘have to’ is if his behavior
redounds too negatively on the Dem party honchos, which
is why Pelosi is trying to pre-empt everyone and beat them
to the pass by calling for a probe to determine, in effect,
whether anything Weiner-related involved the use of taxpayer-funded Congressional computers. That of course is an irrelevancy, and a diversionary tactic only a Dem could appreciate.
