I respect anyone who says they won’t vote for Mitt. I really do. I certainly won’t vote for him in the primaries, but I’d crawl over broken glass to vote anybody but Obama in the general election. It makes me feel dirty even contemplating such a choice, but there’s no shame in voting (or not voting) for the Republican nominee if they aren’t conservative. I won’t get into the business of condemning folks for voting their conservative convictions.
Bottom line: let’s work to ensure Mitt is NOT the nominee so we aren’t forced with such a dilemma. Personally? I don’t think Mitt has a snowball’s chance. He’s going to fade quickly once Governor Palin or her anointed candidate (Bachmann? Cain?) is in the race.
I don’t see Romney fading, he has all the money and organization he needs, he has everything that the GOP and media can give him, he is obsessed with being president and erasing his father’s shame, and he knows that this is a do or die race, his final one.
Romney will be in until the he attains the moderate wings goal which is for him to win, or to at least stop any conservative takeover of the party.
I am working to make sure a better candidate than MITT is the nominee....but, we will see who is running US elections for sure this next year....I’m afraid it isn’t going to be pretty.
