Hi, Dolly! It’s about a 6-7 hour drive. MUCH cheaper to fly. I got tickets for $39 each way on Southwest Airlines...and one tank of gas is more than that, not to mention the wear and tear on the car on the Interstate.

I stayed there the last time we had the shoot there, 2009. it’s small, but nice. I plan to stay there again, but haven’t made my reservations yet. Have to see if we have enough points for a free night. Problem is my wife has been earning most of the points the last couple of years, and she needs a night in San Antonio (where we have our Dentist.. it’s complicated) Before then I earned more than she did, having to go TDY on my job supporting the Army.

OH Man, somehow I got it in my head that it was the 15th. So now I have two, must attend events the same day. The other is a meeting of my AF Reserve group.. in Georgetown, the first such meeting outside the Dallas area. If it was in Dallas, I could slip away for a couple hours. But this one was put on mainly for those of us who live well south of Dallas, Central and South Central Texas. But now I have to choose. My saying that this event was the 15th helped set the date for the other one.
Oh Woe is me.
Maybe my wife is right, I’m going senile.
