A week after his Twitter debut, 30 Rock star Alec Baldwin tweeted heavily about politics and 2012 presidential contenders, possibly indicating that he himself will run for office in 2012.
The actor, who said earlier this year that hes very, very interested in a political position, is rumored to be leaving 30 Rock when his contract expires in 2012, just in time for the election.
I want to take the opportunity to state that although my days on network TV may be numbered, I hope 30 Rock goes on forever, Baldwin wrote in a Huffington Post piece in April.
Baldwin stoked the gossip on Thursday and Friday when he incessantly tweeted about the state of the nation and who would be a decent leader for the country. Looking to me to be Romney-Pawlenty, Baldwin first wrote on Thursday.

There you have it. Alec Baldwin, the political genius, has spoken.
Ever wonder why almost every Democrat and Lefty wants the Republicans to run one of two Mormon candidates? Either Willard “RomneyCare” Romney or Jon “I love you, Barry!” Huntsman. Could it be they’d like to see the South, Evangelicals, Tea Partiers, Pentacostals, Baptists, pro-lifers and other conservatives stay home on election day or vote third party?
LOL!
The Dim’s talking points have even filtered down to Alex Baldwin?
Alec, you know that given who you are and what your political positions have been, as far as conservatives are concerned you’ve just put a target on those guy’s backs, don’t you?
BINGO! Dems pushing Mitt the Twit.
His chances would be even better if he ran as a democrat.
At least then he wouldn't have to lie.
Big deal. One wet noodle endorsing another wet noodle.
I will bet that Romney ACTUALLY THINKS that this is good news for his campaign! Hahahaha!
Alec Baldwin, first class asshat!
Alec Baldwin is a passable actor that got lucky by being cast on a TV show people seem to like (I’ve never watched it). He always appears to have a surly demeanor and an arrogance that even Barack Obama can’t match. I seriously doubt he’ll run for office (and take the pay cut). Baldwin’s rantings are of little interest to anyone but Alec Baldwin. However, his back-handed ‘endorsement’ of Mitt Romney is a hoot as it obviously does Romney more harm than good because Alec Baldwin his fairly well known to be a foaming-at-the-mouth leftist Democrat (forgive the redundancy). I’m just glad that Baldwin didn’t ‘endorse’ Sarah Palin!
Ignoring him is the next best thing, I suppose.
Didn’t he leave the country?
I care more about what Stephen Baldwin thinks...
I think you’ve hit it right on the head.

You are worthless Arec Baldwin.
I’d me more interested in what Pee Wee Herman thinks.
Somebody should send brer Baldwin some penis pictures.
The Left wanted McCain to win the nomination in ‘08, and they got what they wanted. No surprise they’re now pushing Romney, knowing his chances of beating Obama are between slim and none.
