Madison - A Dane County judge granted state election officials a week to determine whether three Democratic senators should be recalled, but declined to delay recall elections for six Republican senators.
The judge's order means the state Government Accountability Board will have to formally certify the recall elections for July 12 for the six Republicans later Friday. Any recall elections for three Democratic senators would be held a week later, on July 19.

Thank you for a thoughtful post.
I think it is Hopper who has the problem with his mistress, so he is surely going to lose.
Darling has good local organization, so a toss up.
Kapake has really turned off independents with his snotty style. I put him likely to lose.
I agree with the rest of your assessments.
You peasants go to hell.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to get back to the hard work of raising your and taking your freedom.
Have a nice day.

We are near the WI border here in Illinois. I have an army buddy from Janesville who is active TEA party. We were talkin on the phone the other night about something else, but this came up, and he was happy about it.
He thinks it is a victory for the R’s, because if the dem vote is a week later, most of the college kids will be back in their home states, which gives the R’s a better chance at the recall on the dem candidates.
I don’t know the ins and outs of how all this works, someone else from WI with a better understanding of the recall and demographics would have to explain it.
I’m not saying this is correct, I am just mentioning another point of view.
Typical. The State Supreme Court needs to step in and declare this BS.
Only, with multiple challengers on the Republican side (stealth “Republicans?”) there might be one or more runoffs a month later if one candidate doesn’t get a majority. I’m sure this is a tactic by the Lefties.
Rats will be rats.
Rules for thee but not for me.
Liberals just don’t beleive in rules for themselves only for their competition. Dane County Wisconsin seems to be the leftist mecca of that state, a quick map search of the country provides a hint why.
Dane County hosts the State capital and of course leftist have always huddle around capitals(centers of power) like moths to a flame.
Dane County also hosts the State University, as well as the State Capitol. Thereby creating a fertile cess pool for the breeding of liberal thought.

It's the elitist way. The first assumption of nobiily is privilege
>>How in the heck do you know that the WI GOP is taking it “lying down”?
Because its the GOP and they only know two ways of dealing with Democrat abuses of power: lying down and on their knees.
It’s the “WI way”.
And so many FReepers thought it was going to be easy in WI.
I’m afraid the unions have had that state in the bag for so long that it would take a nuclear holocaust to change the status quo.
May the True Judge of all mankind judge the wicked today.
