"Dick’s has started to live up to it’s name over the past couple of years."

LOL. I'll have to agree with that. I recently went to Dick's to get some shotgun shells that were advertised on sale. Have previously bought ammo, targets, and a .22 rifle at that particular store. A store re-model was under way, and that department had been eliminated. A salesperson told me that all that inventory had been shipped to another store, and this store would no longer carry these type items.

How can they still call themselves a sporting goods store? If I wanted shoes or a windbreaker, I'd go to Target.

In an earlier post on this thread I called them PC. Maybe they, like many sporting goods stores that have dropped the hunting sports, made a business decision to not have to stock items that cost them so much in paperwork and manpower (filling out the paperwork and maintaining it).

Along with that is the fact the BATFE scumbags jail and fine FFL dealers for minor paperwork infractions. Not only do these businesses not want those fines and possible court costs but they want to protect their employees from the same. They also do not want to incur the expense of training their employees to fill out and maintain all that garbage.
