The manager is full of it. There exists no such law.

Dick’s has started to live up to it’s name over the past couple of years. Many of my customers have had some real WTF style complaints about them. But for me, it’s all good as it helps my business. I would recommend that your hubby go to www.budsgunshop.com and buy his gun there. Have it shipped to a local FFL that does transfers for a reasonable rate.

I charge $5 for transfers but I’m considered one of the lowest on the east coast. I wouldn’t pay over $25 for a transfer of a rifle, shotgun or handgun. If a shop wants more than that, they are ripping you off.

I once had a business meeting several hours drive away, and met a colleague at a Dick's to park my car and ride with him. When he got there I said "The sign says 'Dick's Sporting Goods'. Which is it?" So he says "Duh! That's the same thing!"

LOL. I'll have to agree with that. I recently went to Dick's to get some shotgun shells that were advertised on sale. Have previously bought ammo, targets, and a .22 rifle at that particular store. A store re-model was under way, and that department had been eliminated. A salesperson told me that all that inventory had been shipped to another store, and this store would no longer carry these type items.

How can they still call themselves a sporting goods store? If I wanted shoes or a windbreaker, I'd go to Target.
