"I have never been to Mt. Vernon. Would love to see it - that is one big house!" Not really. I just finished reading Paul Johnson's biography of Washington (quite short, but really excellent). After the Revolutionary War and until his death, Washington's MANY economic activities had made him one of the two or three richest men in the nation. On that scale, Mount Vernon is quite a modest home (as Washington was modest, himself).

Yeah, Antietam is probably next. It's a pretty tough drive from Mount Vernon to Frederick-Hagerstown, and so I doubt she will make it to Gettysburg today.
Probably tomorrow or even Wednesday, especially if they swing through Harper's Ferry.
