Venezuela’s largest Jewish advocacy group has protested to the government a state-run radio broadcast that positively referenced the anti-Semitic "Protocols of the Elders of Zion."
In a formal complaint filed this week with the Public Ministry, the Venezuelan Confederation of Israelite Associations denounced the broadcast in which journalist Cristina Gonzalez read the infamous text and suggested that listeners also should read it.
“Venezuelan Jews know that promoting this anti-Semitic document only sows hate and discrimination, violating the Constitution of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela,” the confederation said in a statement.
During the broadcast, Gonzalez expressed her admiration for the Jewish community and “non-Zionist” Israelis before plucking what she called "little pearls" from the book to explain to listeners why Zionists have been able to amass a concentration of power and wealth.
"I do not have an anti-Semitic stance, I'm not anti-anything, I read everything that falls my way," she said.

Bovine excrement. Considering the rise of anti-semitism under Chavez and his being buddy-buddy with Ahmadinejad, Jews in Venezuela would probably be well-advised to get out of Dodge.

Freedom of speech is about hearing things you don’t necessarily want to hear. But then you get the right to make your own decision. That’s life and that’s freedom.
There are the politically correct police operating in the USA that would like to ban Americans from certain things too. Freedom is not about telling someone what they can or can’t do. I have no sympathy for any of these groups.
You want the Muslims or any group to tell you what you can’t read or hear? They get their foot in the door on one example and soon everything is censored. I say BS to anyone of any belief who tries to control what a society should hear.

I'm unclear on who supports what in this article. I don't care about Venezuelans or their government or of the groups in Venezuela that want political correctness for Venezuela. I care only about the USA and freedom of speech for Americans. It is critical to our survival.
Most Americans do not want anyone telling us what we can't read, say, or write regardless of who it is for, or against be it Jews, Muslims, Catholics or Baptists. The biggest threat to our freedom of speech comes from the PC police who want censorship.
When the writings of some are accepted and others blocked, it is foot in the door that will end up with censorship for us all. Make no mistake there are ultra liberal organizations in the USA that own the Democrats that have gun control and PCness as their primary goals. Research them....SPLC and ADL.
