WSJ now on the pawlenty bandwagon
blech
He sat by and allowed Stuart Smalley to steal the election from the Republican in the Senate race.
Yeah, the not doing anything while Al Franken stole the seat was enough for me...but this added ammo is great. No good and pawlenty for me...
born November 27, 1960 in Saint Paul, MN (Meets the Jus Soli Requirement)
Parents were
Eugene Joseph Pawlenty, born MN
Virginia Frances Oldenburg, born MN
Both parents were US Citizens at the time of his birth (Meets the Jus Sanguinis Requirement)
Timothy Pawlenty is a NATURAL BORN CITIZEN unlike Barry Soetoro aka Barack Hussein Obama.
I wouldn’t whiz on this guy if he were on fire.
WOw, so a politician acted as a politician?
SO who exactly is the perfect candidate?
Answer, there is no one except the one that will kick oBOMBya out of office.
And if you haven’t noticed, the Pubes haven’t exactly been true republicans. In fact, most just talk the talk on the campaign trail but have done a 180 in office. That is the life of being a politician.
She then stepped down from her elected office to further protect the citizens of her state when said corrupt officials, who were now her political enemies, banded together to bring unfounded lawsuit after lawsuit against her in retaliation. She put her state's treasury before her own ambitions and she put the governing of the state before her own ambitions.
This is the type of politician I can support because she lives her principles. She stands for doing the right thing and won't back down. She doesn't cave to the other side, but defends her positions. That's what I'm looking for in a politician.
He gets a NO from me too.
A State so Conservative a Muslim would never stand a chance of getting elected to The House of Representatives.
A State where a diaper-wearing, has-been comedian and Left-wing talk radio hack wouldn't stand a chance of getting elected to The U.S. Senate.
A State so Conservative it's Congressional delegation has been dominated by Republicans for decades.
Am I right, Minnesotans?
He will NEVER get my families support, NEVER!
Sounds like another ‘centrist’ moderate Republican who wants so much to be liked by the Dems.
I watched some of his Facebook townhall question & answer. It didn’t ‘grab’ me. I turned it off after about 7 or 8 minutes.
No one is perfect. Palin’s state lives off of oil taxes, and a very nice living it is. Among candidates Gary Johnson had by far the strongest record as a budget slashing fiscal conservative. But then he supports drug decriminalization. Cain never ran a state. The company he ran was spun off from a much larger company for a low price and sold assets to stay afloat for a few years. Conveniently they are private so we can not evaluate his performance other than to say they remain a 2nd tier player in their market. Minnesota is a pretty liberal state with two dem controlled houses. Would pushing a gun rights bill have resulted in anything?
Supports sharia law? Yecch! That’s another reason I won’t vote for him.
There is a real untruth in this article:
“He went along with the Democrats to increase property taxes by 12 percent over three years.”
Neither the governor nor the legislature set property tax rates. This is done by counties, and is a function of county budgets. Local control anyone? Some conservatives seem to be against this conservative principle.
Pawlenty doesn’t support Sharia law. Please educate yourself about these things.
Marktwain says:
He prides himself as strong on education. Yet, for 19 years he served as both a legislator and governor in the city of St. Paul, where current student proficiencies in math (46 percent), reading (51 percent), and science (21 percent) are among the lowest in the state.
But St. Paul is a highly black, Latino and immigrant city, all of which strongly negatively correlate with academic achievement. Also, when people discuss Asians as “the model minority” they are not talking about the Hmong, who were a pre-literate tribe before coming to America and having a written language invented for them in the 1960s by a British ethnographer.
Given this I’m not surprised the test scores aren’t as high as other parts of the state or nation.
