They were not there. They can’t prove he didn’t move, the tape doesn’t provide the evidence.

I’d believe the pharmacist. That’s just me. Fatally wounded people can still move for 30-60 seconds before they pass out from blood loss.

If they can’t do that then they can’t do anything, they have video of the event which goes within inches of the unconscious body that is just out of frame, blood splatter etc. fills in the rest, that is why the jury convicted.

Evidently they did prove it. Now all of the bad guys are convicted or dead.

Something is wrong in OC. Please tell me what it is.

The problem is the "urban black culture". Simple as that.

What is so difficult about looking at an entire event and seeing the actions of all parties, why treat it as if you have to take a side of one bad guy or the other, why not just accept that it was a freak case of robbers trying to rob a Walter Mitty psychopath.

Because I don't see it that way. I don't see the pharmacist as a psychopath. I see him as a very panicked man under life-or-death stress... something he's never, ever had to deal with before in his life.

The Pharmacist is a full fledged nut case.

I would like to see someone start a thread on this that would be more real, and more fun.

Something related to my take on this robbers, meet murderer event.

What is so difficult about looking at an entire event and seeing the actions of all parties, why treat it as if we have to take a side of one of the bad guys, why not just accept that it was a freak case of robbers trying to rob a Walter Mitty psychopath.

I find the coincidence of these characters all meeting up as the amusing aspect of this.

Can you imagine the two adults that got a life sentence for murder having to explain their conviction for the rest of their lives to the other cons? “Well, we was robbin the place and got away, but the white druggist murdered one of my boys in cold blood while he was unconscious, and because the white man got convicted, they convicted me too”.

Given the situation the pharmacist found him in I would not consider him one of the bad guys. Especially when the other criminal gets released after 5 years at 19 because he was 14 at the time.

The situation of the robbery was fine, but it was the situation of the cold blooded murder that made him a convicted bad guy, it also uncovered his phony injured war hero life, and the lies about being wounded in a shoot out with his bandaged arm and his made up heroic story of a sustained gun fight during the robbery reveals that this guy with his history of mental problems is truly a bad guy.

This was a case of bad guys running into another bad guy, convictions all around, let’s pop a cork.

Did you watch the store surveillance video?

"I find the coincidence of these characters all meeting up as the amusing aspect of this."

It's something between a freak show and a train wreck.

I don't understand the attempt to lionize a guy who makes all gunowners look like the left's worst caricature of us, and whose actions are only going to bring increased scrutinyand negative publicity for those who do act in a purely defensive capability.

Unreal!

I saw the video and it was self defense, period!

How the Hell do they justify Murder or even Manslaughter?

This, in Oklahoma?

Proves that Oklahoma sucks so Texas won’t fall into the Gulf of Mexico.

I like that description, it is very good. The sad thing about spending all of our time on the druggist is that we have not yet looked at the keystone cops type robbery attempt, and the aftermath of murder convictions for them all is funny as all get out too, that just wasn't their day by any measure.

Not buying it...

Dude’s adrenalin was juicing him pretty hard. Can’t see how he is responsible for anything more than the cost of replacing the bullets.

About $1’s worth.

Well, my dad always said the world would never suffer from a shortage of stupid. Clearly, there was enough to go around to all players here.

I'm not sure where you stood/stand on the Stolen Valor Act; I was a pretty outspoken advocate of it, and our pharmacist buddy here is a good example of why. A lot of opponents of the SVA insisted that if the person was using the claimed award/status for financial gain, existing fraud laws were adequate. My insistence is that not all things of value can be expressed in monetary terms. In this case, this joker tried to garner sympathy and leverage special consideration based on his hero status. Had he not been found out, he might have just been succesful in doing so with the court.

The perps were never going to contribute anything of value to society...they lived up to all my expectations for them. The pharmacist could have not only defended himself and his property; he could have also become a very good case study for the value of firearms in private hands. He ended up snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.

Then how can you say he was under stress or panicked? I move with a greater sense of purpose when I get my coffee in the morning.

Temporary insanity, brought on by being an armed robbery victim multiple times. Not guilty (at least not of 1st Degree Murder)

Too bad they captured his insanity on video, although forensics would have probably uncovered it as well.
