I figured with the holiday, there would be plenty of patriotic songs from the other Dee Jays so to aviod steppen' all over each other, I made a left turn and went with truly American music. Most of these tunes fall between 1955 and 1965. Thanks for the shout-out!

My high school of about 850 students in DC was able to book The Chiffons for well under a $1000. There was a vote with the other choice being Boots Randolph. Talk about heated hallway arguments.
It’s amazing to think how the music industry has changed. What school kids could imagine having a top forty group available for a school dance today?
