On Greta last night - “Rush’s Dream Candidate” - there are also clips of her entire interview with Rush - about 18-1/2 minutes.

Like I said, they seem entirely to friendly.

What would you say if you saw Yasser Arafat talking strategy with Bibi, just a moment of comity, I doubt it. And I know that evil sob is dead.

Governor Sarah Palin Endorses Governor Rick Perry

For those of you with Simple minds....

Just because someone endorses someone for an office does not mean they agree with them 100%.

It does mean that they are probably the best person in that particular race, and most of the time, the lessor of two evils.

Trying to imply that Sarah Palin would endorse Rick Perry for President because she endorsed him for Governor is Sophmoric at best.

Furthermore, given Sarah's stance on AZ1070, which Rick Perry opposes, and Sarah's Tea Pary positions on the issues, which Rick Perry embraces when it is politically expediant, usually when he is in a primary or election season, I sincerely doubt Sarah would endorse Perry for President.

No Perry. He was (and probably still is) all-in for erasing our southern border and instituting the NAU. I think it’s appropriate to ask what personal accomplishment of Perry’s would grant him consideration as the GOP’s nomination. I can think of none. He has had the good fortune to be sitting governor during a time of economic resurgence for Texas - a resurgence he’s had almost nothing (personally) to do with.

IMO he’s a progressive sleeper who could do serious damage to both the US and to the GOP brand if ever given the reins to the country.

Why is Rush strong on him, then? In his interview on Greta last night he kept calling for “full-throated, unapologetic, proud conservatives” rather than those who run as moderates and try to win over the 20% undecideds.

If you are a proponent of the North American Union then Rick Perry is your boy. He sponsored the Trans Texas Corridor and was invited to and attended the 2009 Bilderberg meeting. He is a NWO globalist. So knock your self out.

enough rumors going around about his personal sex life to choke a mule.

As opposed to his business sex life :)

I want Cain. Then Sarah. And as soon as FL removes the chance for me to vote for either of them, leaving me either Mittens or Rick, I’ll heave one big queef and pull it for Perry.

"Its been widely reported..."

So is bigfoot and alien abductions. Look lady, I'm not one of those people who believes the Bilderberg group or the Trilateral Commission or The Hellfire Club or The Skull and Bones Society or Krispy Kreme is secretly running everything.

UFO's...
Bigfoot...
Lock Ness Monster...
Chupacabra...
all "widely reported".
Yawn.

That Rick Perry attended a professional organization with an exclusive membership is unimportant to me.

For those of you with Simple minds....

SoConPubbie, if this is your attempt at insult, it diminishes any point you may have been trying to make.

Such childish food throwing has no place on Free Republic.

As for Rick Perry, I welcome him into the field of potential Republican presidential candidates, if he so chooses.

I have no idea who I'll ultimately support, there's still plenty of time to decide that. I do appreciate the constructive views of others, and a good number have been expressed on this thread, both pro and con, and without petty invective.

FYI, sophomoric has 3 o's.

FRegards...

There is no basis for challenging Perry’s conservative credentials. He has governed as a conservative. He has made mistakes. He has corrected those mistakes.

Those are not mistakes. A mistake is whenever he pretended to support people talking about secession. Once the media got a hold of it, he issued a statement through the governor's office saying that he would never support secession.

The other stuff, that was stuff that he tried hard to accomplish, he planned it for years, or he handled it in ways that made it clear that he knew people would oppose it. Being the first sitting Governor to support a Republican for the 2008 Presidential campaign, a pro-abortion Republican at that, and then going out of his way to campaign for that pro-abortion Republican in various states and on Fox News and I believe CNN as well, that is not a mistake. A mistake would have been if he said something positive about Giuliani and people got upset and he retracted it, but no, he went on the campaign trail and went in front of the news channels.

Talking in 2001 about more closely linking Mexico and Texas through transportation and working hard to get that through all the way up until being slapped down 8 or so years later is not a mistake. Bypassing the legislature to push the HPV vaccine, which was going to cost either parents or taxpayers or both $360 per girl was not a mistake.

The point is, these are not simple gaffes, except for the secession thing. He planned these for years, followed through on them, or tried to carry them out in such a way as to slide them through without opposition.

They are especially not mistakes when you look at how many people associated with those things and companies had close ties to Perry.

Governor Sarah Palin Endorses Governor Rick Perry

Rick Perry endorsed Rudy Giuliani, campaigned for him in some of the primary states, went on Fox News and other media and talked about how wonderful Giuliani was. Does this mean that we should all support Giuliani?

It would do us no good to trash Perry badly, and then turn around and have him lose his job in Texas.
I want him to be booted as Governor. He only got elected the last time 'cause there wasn't anybody better. Who was there to vote for? Hutchinson? Give me a break. Even Goodhair was better than her and Medina was little better.

You back him if you want, he's not for me. I don't trust that man any further than I can throw him and the sooner he's out of office the better in my book.

Anybody connected to Giuliani has to be exposed.

Perry was in business with him AND endorsed Giuliani’s loser 2008 run.

I would say that Bibi was stringing Yasser along to find out his plans. Bibi is that smart.
Politicians "play nice" behind the scenes until it's time to whip out the public blades and start slashing.
It's like two attorneys. They're in the courtroom during the day trying to eviscerate each other and then they go out to dinner together when the case is over like they're best friends.

Isn't that a sad state of affairs for America. Establishment politics at its worst.
