I would say that Bibi was stringing Yasser along to find out his plans. Bibi is that smart.
Politicians "play nice" behind the scenes until it's time to whip out the public blades and start slashing.
It's like two attorneys. They're in the courtroom during the day trying to eviscerate each other and then they go out to dinner together when the case is over like they're best friends.

Bibi is that smart. Yep, he gave land for peace before, how did that work out? Oh I know, he is backed into a corner and must get tough, but the people of Israel, will throw him under the bus soon enough if things get tough. Clinton and a conservative republican strategizing whole different matter.
