Free Republic has significant political power, IF it is applied.

It doesn't make sense to say we're for conservative and patriotic leaders in one breath, then, in the next, say, "oh, but, BTW, I'll vote for for anyone the GOP shoves onstage".

We can't expect to have any influence at all that way.
