When I was an extremely ignorant 15 my Nana born 1884 said to me “I wish I was 15 and knew what I know now”
She didnt elaborate so I went to Mum and asked her what Nana (her MIL) meant
My mother (born 1912) told me that Nana was just an old woman and therefore didnt know anything
To this day I wish that had not satisfied me

I hear that. I actually used to ask my Grandparents what it was like when they were a kid. 50 years later I remember very little of what they said but then again what 10 year old writes down stories?
