I don’t know much about Perry. Is he a Constitutional Conservative or just another big government conservative?

He's an enigma.

One minute, he's a RINO, the next minute, he's talking tough conservatism.

I don't know what to make of him, but I will say this: He's pure 100% Texan. His roots go back to the mid-1800s.

Yes, he seems bi-polar at times. But there's a very simple method to the madness. Perry's mood swings depend entirely on what time of the year it is.

Campaign season = "Save the babies, seal the border & deport the illegals, drill baby drill, let go huntin', I'm killin' big government, Texas should secede and declare war on Obama! Yee-haw I'm a red blooded texas patriot!!!"

Safely in office for a while = "Gosh darn we gotta reach out to hispanics more and not offend 'em, and ya know I really feel bad for them gay folks trying to live their lives. And heck, I can't cut money for the kiddies and for grandma. Ya know we Republicans and Democrats gotta put aside partisanship and work together..."
