Liberals and Obotski just sop up self-aggrandizement like a sponge. The Birther Issue gives them something to feel superior about, just like the “Racist!!!” canard they are always throwing out.
At Obotski Central there is a thread about “Crazy” Birthers and it is just like being in Heaven for the Obotski. They have someone to feel superior to, without justification I might add, but they just revel in that sort of thing.

My theory (and hope) is this: Trump said he is not running, let’s hope he keeps it that way, in the mean time, I think he is a real patriot warts and all. He is a business man, and his politics have clearly swayed in the wind with what will benefit him, but he’s not an idiot and he knows that zippy is a complete disaster and his actions are hurting business - so if Trump wants to be the one to get zippy exposed as a fraud I’m all for it....let him take the heat from the media instead of our candidates(they will be busy fending off stupid stories about them from the media anyway)....and hopefully zippy at the very least will be weakened

Agree with you. Obama is a good politician in the sense of chicago style politics. He is good at rewarding friends and punishing his enemies....BUT.. he is terrible at image control and quickly cracks when questioned. He hates being questioned. He has chinks in the armor, but if we don’t exploit them, he will sail to re-election.

I think you’re over-analyzing this. In May 2008, Obama was at the top of the world, having crushed Hillary in the primaries and being treated as rock star/emperor (use your own analogy). He was going to “save” us from GWB and turn the country around so that we were “proud to be Americans” again, blah, blah, blah. I think his using 2008 was simply a Freudian slip reflecting wishful thinking.
As for the style of dating, that’s the way they’ve always done it in the British empire....
that’s one thing that I don’t get, why Trump was silent about that... from what I have seen of him, if someone crosses him, he fires back.... unless he has been busy gathering ammo.... I just find it hard to believe that Trump would be for anybody (soros, hitlery etc) but Trump... as long as he stays on the sidelines making noise thats fine..... I can’t see him getting into the race and having any credibility - he lost a lot when the COLB was first released, and he then he had that speech where he cursed up a storm.... and his not so believable discussion of his Christianity... I think the “candidate trump” ship has sailed.... I don’t see him having a Perot like following... Perot was consistent until the last few months of the campaign - Trump is a joke on the left and most conservatives see through him...and the middle is too busy watching dancing with the stars
