No, but you could defeat a Democrat in NY-26 with every dime, assuming those dimes went into effective messaging.
And speaking of California, Meg Whitman might have won if the CA Nurses union hadn't conspired to interfere with the election. The tactic of dumping a ginned up story about her illegal maid is no different than the 2006 strategy to oust Mark Foley.
You'll note that California was one of three states that didn't get swept by the wave of 2010. Fiorina lost in the Senate because the Field Poll showed that Californians supported the health care law.

Limbaugh started this when he opened his show today admitting that NY-26 went by him. He could have opened it any number of ways, but he chose to do it in the form of an admission of some lapse. Maybe he thought he was being glib, and would quickly segue into other topics.
My comments went from there. What was I supposed to make of his admission? Was I NOT supposed to think about it? Then why did Limbaugh bring it up?
If his people read my comments and it influenced the direction of the commentary today, isn't that what he wanted to do when he first mentioned it?
There is no need to turn the attack towards me for responding. NY-24 is a wake-up call that Republicans have to quickly step it up and organize, align, and commit to action in all corners to stop Obama.

In regards to NY-26:
From what I have read, the Republican in the race lost support after she voiced support for Ryan's plan. Voters did not desire a return to dealing with insurance companies versus dealing with Medicare, but current Medicare recipients either did not understand or know that Ryan's plan does not remove those currently on Medicare.
Then there was a Dem running as a Tea Party candidate that took away 9 percent.
I hope this formula is not successfully used around the country. At the current time, it seems a little reminiscent of the SS reforms that did not get substantial Republican Congressional support.
What is really driving me crazy is that NO substantial reform of these entrenched programs is going to go anywhere until we all decide as a country that we are not going to get all of those free bennies that FDR and LBJ promised Americans a long time ago.

i was curious about the sins of someone pointing out the sins of others - and demanding more from someone that does so much
i was trying to understand if your advice is something that should be heeded - i try to listen advice from successful people
