However...when the army corp of engineers breached the levee so it would not flood Cairo, ILL but flood the farmlands in MO...is this house flood proof? natural or man enforced disasters will still impact living underground. What part of the USA would you live in that is free of crime, illegals, tornadoes, hurricanes and for me an important factor over abundance of libs? also, if flooding takes place..your roof could be damaged:) mudslides?

Actually, if you built into the side of a hill along the so called “military crest” and a mudslide were to occur the likely result is that the earth would slide around the home and down the hill leaving the home uncovered and that’s about all. I hope I’d be savvy enough not to put it in a flood plain or where there is a possibility of flash flood. I already live in hurricane alley (Miami, FL) and have been through around 18 storms in my life including Katrina (as a CAT 1 storm) and Andrew which was CAT 5. Also knee deep in LIBS and illegals and crime but I ccw and I’ve not been a victim of crime since I was in high school. At least not a completed crime.... We’d like to live in the Western North Carolina mountains....
