The Paul folks have had a meeting or memo go out- “elite” and “elitist” are the new buzz words to throw out there.— Compare him to Romney— use terms like “Establishment” and “Country Club”—

this is their attempt to try and squash support from tea party folks...

the sad thing is that for a bunch of liberty lovers, they sure like the same tactics as the progressives! Not to mention that they would even begin to think that tea party folks are UNINFORMED and would actually fall for this tripe...

Cain is NOTHING like Romney— other than being successful in business—

Now— don’t get all upset truthfreedom— you folks are just too transparent... I actually like Ron Paul— in fact, you can thank ME that when he speaks on camera that more folks are listening to what he is saying- instead of being distracted by two squirrels fighting for a nut on his forehead....Yes— I called his office years back and begged his PR gal to trim his eyebrows!! two days later he was on air without the squirrels....I have been in politics and PR long enough to know that rodents are not an accessory...

I think it is great that you are out there doing what you can for your candidate— This is exactly what you SHOULD DO! It is a great American thing to do! But maybe you and your fellow spammers should understand that we are just as passionate about our guys or gals. ATTACKING with FALSEHOODS is not a wise tactic...you will burn bridges....

make the case for your guy— point out where he is stronger or better....WITHOUT trying to attach words or impressions that are inaccurate.

I must admit that you are smarter, wiser, and more congenial that some of your friends though— and I do appreciate that....but don’t let ya’ll turn into those Palin supporters that are willing to trash Bachman out of shear fear....

;-)

You’re complaining because you think that Ron Paul’s supporters have a message?

You haven’t mentioned anything that I’ve said that is untrue.

It’s a fact that the Fed is an elite institution.

It’s a fact that establishment Republicans think more highly of people with elite credentials.

It’s a fact that Cain has those elite credentials.

Unfortunately for Cain, that particular elite credential (Chairman of the Kansas City Fed) is one that many tea partiers (the ones who distrust the Fed) will not like.
But there are a lot of republicans, establishment Republicans, who do trust the Fed.

I think what you’re trying to say is that you’d prefer if the more difficult parts of Cains resume not be talked about as much when you’re trying to get votes from tea partiers.

I’m not criticizing Cain at all. It takes a lot of hard work and ideological trustworthiness to get to be the Chairman of the Kansas City Fed. Like any job, some people are going to like you more because you had the job and some people are going to like you less.

It just seems that when you’re the ex-Chairman of the Kansas City Fed, you might want to target for votes the types of people who like the fed (and there are a lot) instead of those who distrust the fed (and there are also a lot).

But, the political controversy surrounding the Fed aside, the Fed is still an elite institution, and establishment Republicans will give him credit for getting such a great job (even if they don’t have a clear opinion one way or another about the merits of the Fed - they know it’s an elite job, and establishment Republicans think highly of people with elite jobs. (It’s a problem Palin has, actually).
