KABUL (Xinhua) -- Afghan Taliban leader Mullah Mohammad Omar has been killed in Pakistan, a private television channel reported Monday.

"Mullah Omar was killed on way from Quetta to North Waziristan, " TOLO television said in its news bulletin.

However, it did not provide details on how he was killed and by whom.

Meanwhile, a security official confirmed the killing, saying, " it is correct that Mullah Omar has been killed."

But he did not disclose details

So true. Should be just as funny as the rest of them.

Remember the one when Hitler found out that Ford was reintroducing the 5.0 for the Mustang?

I’d provide a link, saw it once, but can’t find it right now.

Al Qaeda’s brains:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ayman_al-Zawahiri

This man is of the ancient sect of Assassins.

Alexandria, Egypt and Mumbai, India are their most active centers since around the 1300’s.

Playing dumb is smart. His activities go way back.

“It seems like he was responsible for ninety percent of the Al Qaeda terror plots that actually came to fruition.”

And our dear Hillary, after Bin Laden’s death, said to the Taliban to just give up Al Qaeda.

Rotza Ruck on that one.

It'll be interesting to see what AQ does about Zawahiri now that his chief benefactor is seafood.

After reading The Looming Tower, I get the impression that no one believes he has the ability to lead any jihadi network, much less Al Qaeda.

We`ll know after we see the pics... oh,wait.. we`re just fragile children who are unable to emotionally process such images of carnage. We learned that after the bin Laden op.

Zawahiri on what Americans should do: America is calling for “an Islam without jihad, without resistance, and with out enjoining good and forbidding evil. But instead of all this nonsense, we call the Americans to join Islam.”

Zawahiri on being Muslim: “...he is obligated to befriend a believer-even if he is oppressive and violent toward you, while he must be hostile to the infidel-even if he is liberal and kind to you.”

Sounds great...where do I sign up...

If true you know our little Bammy has developed a hypocritical taste for blood.

I think you put your finger on it. I look for at least one more spectacular Seal raid on a high-profile target before election time.

I've heard that, but you need to see how far back this Dr. goes in his efforts to organize, along with the Muslin Brotherhood.

He is no light weight.

I disagree heartily with the suggestion that he isn't more than capable.

I don't thing Bin Laden has ever truly run Al Qaeda.

Afghan sources are always iffy on the facts.

News like this usually comes from Paki leaks and there have been none.

Omar would never leave Quetta for the Predator free-fire zone of N Waziristan unless there was incredible pressure from the Paki's. The report says that Gul was with him, very unlikely they would travel together.

Great idea, but very unlikely.

Part of the story is coming apart already, Gul is alive and talking, and is confirmed to have been at home all last week.

Yep, I couldn’t find anything in the wee hours on bad guy/good guy sites showing he was dead.
