Hello fellow Freepers,
This is a message from the family of GitmoSailor, or Gus, as we knew him.
Gus passed away on Tuesday. He left us in poor health and is no longer suffering. Thanks to all of you who made his last days bearable. He thoroughly enjoyed his time on-line, especially to express his political views and points. Thank you again for giving him a forum to view and respond to world politics and current affairs. Thank you for providing him with a much needed past time. To any wishing to express condolences we will check this board for the next few months until we are ready to close his account. I am so sorry to learn of his passing. He was very special to me!!!!!
He will always be missed.
He was a big, important part of our FReepathon crew and we continued to ping him.
We wondered where he was and now we know.
He loved the Palins and little Piper, so here's a special pic of her that he used to post from his photobucket.

My heartfelt condolences to the family. Free Republic has lost a dear FRiend.
I first remember Gitmo in 2006. He signed up here to help those of us who were working to help Diana Irey unseat Congressman John Murtha.
Gitmo was profoundly serious about defeating Murtha, and lo and behold, one day he proved beyond any doubt to all of us that he meant it!!!!
