Dupnik won't release more info about SWAT shooting of Tucson man

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department will release no more information about the circumstances surrounding the killing of Jose Guerena during the serving of a search warrant by the department’s SWAT officers May 5 at his home.

Two weeks after the shooting the department has yet to disclose exactly what they were searching for in the Guerena home ...

...

On May 5, five members of the SWAT team fired 71 shots at Guerena while serving a search warrant at the 7100 block of South Redwater Drive. He was shot 60 times.

The 26-year-old former Marine was sleeping at about 9:30 a.m. after working the graveyard shift at Asarco’s Mission Mine when his wife woke him saying she heard noises outside and saw a man was at their window.

I'm starting to think that I need to incorporate difficult entry designs into my future home. Things like 6 to 8 inch solid concrete walls (fox blocks ICF construction), narrow windows with solid wall in between, doors that slide into the walls and don't open when someone kicks or rams them, etc.

Maybe that is just my paranoia coming out.

If it was murder (we don't know that yet) then the perps should fry and all complicit should pay some enormous penalty...PERSONALLY.

When the pigs kick in your door executing a no knock ninja Rambo wannabe raid, shoot the homeowner 71 times while never having been shot at, and find no drugs or cash, it's a f'n murder.

Every one of those oinkers should be on trial for murder.

The pig and oinker labels are not ones I toss around loosely. These were NOT police officers. They're macho ninja wannabe PIGS.

This kind of crap needs to stop - now.

Safe Rooms with a strong door and strong walls / framing might work well against sudden attacks in existing homes—good for strong winds, too ?

Has Dupnik released *any* statement concerning this killing of the Marine by his SWAT unit?

Not much.

What a putz. So Dupnik himself is still in hiding. Such a pussy. Couldn't keep him from in front of the cameras when his boy Loughner killed those people but when his SWAT unit screws up he's nowhere to be found. I love the SO whining headlines:

Claim of public 'misinformation and emotionally-charged speculation'

Sheriff’s Dept. defends SWAT shooting silence

Seemed to be OK when Dupnik was the one out there practicing the "emotionally-charged speculation".

I swear I hope this guy is gone over this. Couldn't happen to a more inept person.

Standard cop cover-up in a case like this involves digging into the life of the victim to find things that can be taken in a negative light.

War veteran? Probably suffering from PTSD - and a danger to the community. Traffic tickets? Disregard for the law. Someone might rememeber him saying something bad about the VA or the army - “disgrunted veteran.” God forbid he should have done anything as a child or teen - proof that he had a criminal personality.

Who is doing the investigating? In the Erik Scott incident the same department that was involved in the shooting did the investigation. They dumped all the smear, much irrelevant, on the victim before the sham hearing.

When they’re done, it won’t matter what happened that day - only that they show him out to be such a bad person that maybe he NEEDED killin’.

Agreed some higher police authorities need to do the investigation. The problem I have with the FBI is this local sheriff is a big liberal, and obamma and his justice dept can stonewall this investigation to where nothing comes of it.

The Mission Mine is an open pit mine, which is pretty much standard for the SouthWest. Having seen some of the holes they've dug, for copper and gold, it's perhaps more impressive, if not so claustrophobic. These days, they locate the mill right next door, so the only thing shipped out is the ingots of metal.

It's hot, dusty and LOUD. Depending on the ore, they like to use cyanide to separate out the ore. Yeah, it's where dope dealers hide.

Sheriff Dupnik is just a typical Liberal Democrat who believes in equality, fairness, political correctness and the rule of law.........until he doesn’t.

So Dupnik himself is still in hiding.

Killing an innocent Marine in his home like they did is a bit like kicking a rattlesnake or a bees nest, it may not end well.

Hopefully Sheriff dipstick and the deputies involved will get everything they have coming to them, legally of course.

You forgot some of these:

Of course it'd make the ones surviving their "dynamic" entry shit their pants.
And you have the added advantage of saying "Of course CANNON are covered under the 2nd Amendment!"

It’s approximately a 35 minute ride from the victim’s house to the mine. That’s a lot of mileage for a cop to stop someone while also approaching the house with only the wife inside.

What it boils down to is that the Thugs murdered a Marine, using another of their Constitutionally illegal "no-knock" warrants, and will get away with it.

With Dear Leader striving to destroy the economy, and the gonad free republicans still playing silly little games with their "honorable friends" who want to rape us, I would predict that when the government collapses and Law is a gunshot, these LEOs stand a good chance of standing on a pickup tailgate with a rope around their necks.

Consider that there are, currently, over 100 Federal agencies that answer to no one except Democrat Socialists. They are charged with giving money that no longer exists to state agencies that have no independent oversight that are charged with bribing local police departments to keep the peasants effectively beaten down. There will be a Reckoning.

Remember, Nicolae Ceaucescu and his wife never expected, on the first of December, 1989, that they wouldn't live to see the New Year. Nothing is forever, and when a political party is hell bent on destroying a constitutional government, because a "living document" can be killed, they usually succeed. Honorable men tend to stop short of shooting traitors out of hand. Revolutionaries get off on it.

We're boned.
