...slighty rainy this morn here in the swamps of Delaware. But this follows one week of beautiful weather and hey, gardens need the rain.
Got a follow-up on my nightmare of the gubmint and that health suvey, this time involving neighbors, misunderstandings, embarrassment and yet another unintended consequence of the gubmint refusing to take NO for an answer.
Later on this but meanwhile I have, seriously folks, the most perfect running platform for the Republicans, yes I do. If they listen to me, and I know I’m a nobody living in the swamps, but if they listen, the pubs will sweep the House, natch, the Senate, and the Presidency will be theirs.
My strategy is for the pubs to constantly, CONSTANTLY, list all the things that will happen, if Barack Obamer is elected again.
The premise is thus: if BO gets the nod again it will be a mandate, a HUGE mandate, for him to continue on with his liberal kill-America ways. For the time being, there’s constant toes in the water, if you will, that clearly telegraph where this admin is going. This past November BO and the Dems got their heads handed to them, in a fashion, thus they stand back and are taking, if only on an unconscious level, the stand that they will see where this goes. If BO gets elected president again, there will be no hesitation.
So the pub nominee, hopefully Sarah Palin as I see it and she won’t be afraid to mess the head hairs, will use my premise of “IF BARACK GETS ELECTED AGAIN...”
Here’s how it will work....all campaign commercials will introduce a premise. I’ll give an example for now, and for sure welcome input from my fellow Freepers...
First commerical for candidate Palin: A solemn voice intones across the TV air waves...”If Barack Obama gets re-elected President...this country’s borders will be opened up wide to allow anyone through and any citizen who shall complain will be mocked and litigated.”
Okay...above is the premise. Then the solemn voice comes on again...”Don’t believe this?”
Then a clip of BO and that moat/alligator comment, with a subtitle indicating that this is an example of the mockery. Then a clip of Arizona Governor complaining about protecting the state’s borders the legal cases being filed against that state, with a subtitle that this is an example of the litigation we can expect if BO gets re-elected and how our border security will go.
I know you Freepers get it but the lesson is...make very believable, and by me very true, assertions about the future, BASED ON, and with very concrete current examples, of the base of the premise.
the list goes on an on....Another one, quick, bear with me....”If Barack Obama gets re-elected we can expect a hand-picked team of advisors, un-approved by our elected representatives, to run our various cabinet departments.”
THEN show clips of Anita Hill....that Mao Tse Tung fan, Van Jones, that truther Communist....like that.
Keep at, pubs, hammer this every day. Beat BO up with his own words.
Because if we’ve learned nothing as a country, at least the boobs who voted for Obama....”such a nice man...nice children” as my mother-in-law told me...we have learned that what with Rev. In fact, as a sign-off to the campaign commercials as I propose...a slogan...to the effect...

I’m telling you folks, like Rush says, DON’T DOUBT ME....this is a winning campaign...imagine, using the TRUTH to run a political campaign?

What I am trying to say is that conservatives need to be very careful in our blacklisting. Of course, I do it myself. I cannot support a pro-abortion candidate. Period.
But, can I support a serial adulterer? Maybe. Especially, if the owns his sin.
Can I support a "compromiser"? I supported Ronald Reagan. It's how politics works - sorry to scandalize anyone.
Can I support someone who sat on the same sofa as that wretched woman, Nancy Pelosi? Now, that's gonna be tough :)

I had to read your post twice but I will definitely vote for anyone except the Dark Lord himself over what we have now, but I pray it isn’t Paul or some of the other wannabes speaking out now.

That's about all they have on Newt and its far from enough.
Newt started out telling the many reason he should run and is capable of doing the job far better than zero including nat. security, making the weak case he's a small biz man,how he gets things done with his wife, Newt's choices are weak sometimes but at other times he saves the day.
He made a good case for running since he sees running as his duty as a citizen to try and save the country from zero.
DNC Dave then tried to set up a scenario where if we don't bump up the debt ceiling the country would suffer badly. Newt didn't fall for it and his comeback was brilliant: The dollar for dollar scenario that Boehner has purposed is perfect. For every dollar zero wishes to raise the debt ceiling it must be accompanied by a dollar for dollar decrease in current spending--brilliant if the pubbies will stick to it!! But that remains to be seen. Newt is excellent on numbers for anything.
He failed to bring up energy a huge mistake.
Newt also suggested only very small debt ceiling increases instead of the two trillion that Geithner is purposing, another brilliant idea and a great way to keep the left in check.
The left realizes that without huge deficit spending that may not be able to buy enough votes to keep zero in office which is what the debt ceiling is really all about for the commies.
Even with 200 billion left in a tarp LOC it may not be enough for zero to stay in office.
Newt showed why he won't be elected when he said that Ryans' plan was too big a jump.
To believe that you have to be more middle of the road than conservative and that may be Newts' downfall for us.
Ryans' plan is brilliant and Newt should have backed it all the way,but he is too concerned about pleasing the left,consensus building is more important to him.
He gets the tax issue that dnc dave brought up we are over spent not under taxed brilliant slogan.
DNC Dave uses Newts' recent language on food stamps to pretend that Newt is a racist.
Gingrich falls into the dnc trap of defending himself as not being a racist (he uses the Trent Lott defense) we all know how that ends.
If he had any guts he would have said "if opposing bad ideas that a Socialist potus puts forth makes me a racist than I proudly carry that banner.
That would have shut Dave up and put him on the defensive but our side is too eager to please the DBM and still a little low on testosterone.
Newt, "we need a new path, paychecks instead of food stamps"--excellent if you have the guts to back it up if not the rats will deem it racist,get the DBM to repeat it and we are done. They know it worked on Hillary in SC and they will never stop using it when they get down and dirty which is what being a Demoncrat is all about. We need to learn from them!!

Newt has great ideas and tries to compare himself to Reagan,not a vp choice.
All in all it was a pretty good interview but when push comes to shove Newt will always cave to the left for the sake of compromise. They have no fear of him. We need someone the left fears all the time if we hope to save the country.
