Mike Huckabee said Saturday there would be no sequel to his surprisingly strong 2008 White House bid, in which he won the Iowa Republican caucus and finished second in the primaries to Sen. John McCain.
"All the factors say go, but my heart says no," Huckabee, who was considered the GOP frontrunner in several national polls, said on his Fox News Channel show.
Before his announcement Saturday night, Huckabee hadn't shared his decision with his closest advisers.
Many of those advisers predicted Huckabee wouldn't run.
Ed Rollins, who was Huckabee's national campaign chairman for the 2008 campaign, said he expected this decision after Huckabee had broken off communications with him about a week ago.

Lesser of two weevils.
Which is why the dems wiped up the floor with the Republicans in the 2010 elections. Oh wait, they lost, despite the best efforts of the msm to make the conservative resurgence look like astroturfing fringe looks. The problem is that the game doesn’t stay the same. Many do watch msm outlets, but legal voters draw from many sources for news, whether fox, internet or whatever. The msm will not strongarm us into a choice against our interests this time. You may rely upon it.
How many people watched it 5 years ago, 10, 20? Viewership of the network newscasts has dropped over 50% since 1980 and continued to drop last year. They are getting less powerful every year, that is my point.

Your comment is nothing less than racist stereotyping.
Nothing should be read into her statements about the historical context of Obama's election.
Mikey Huckabee (RINO garbage) has opted to not run.
Thank you GOD.
There, corrected it!
With his newly built multimillion dollar home in Fla, his contract with FOX, his new history cartoon sales, etc., and his inability to give up either for the donations he had been getting, this is the real story. Unfortunately for him, his "star" will now fade with FOX and his producers. In a year (or whenever his FOX contract expires), he will be a has-been with no job and no future. He's had his 15 minutes of fame. It's over.
Good! Now if only Palin will make the same decision! (Quickly donning flame-proof suit!)
Not really. I would be perfectly happy to see Herman Cain as someone’s VP and if Palin decides not to run, he seems like a good choice for POTUS...same for West...I consider Condi to be a liberal.
My guess is that Romney will be the GOP nominee. Obama’s bounce from the OBL raid is already fading (he’s back in the 40’s approval-wise) in the Gallup tracking poll. He can be beaten. The MSM will continue to claim he can’t.
Good grief, don’t you recognize sarcasm when you see it?
When you hear them speak, side by side, you will pick Bachman. She is superior in every way.

The fix was in. Hardly anybody believed McCain could win.
The Huckster, the socialist from Arkansas who loves illegals is out. I’m happy today!
