Fox 5/WAGA-TVs Justin Gray was blocked by state troopers from a public immigration bill signing held today by Gov. Nathan Deal at the Gold Dome. Why? Deals press office was angry about an unrelated, unflattering story Dale Russell had done the night before about Deal.
Below is the story that upset Deals office. The campaign had paid $90,000 to a fund-raising company the I-Team had never heard of called Southern Magnolia Capital. Russell discovered that company was connected to Deals daughter in law Denise Deal. Phil Wilheit, identified in the story as Deals campaign manager, told Russell the transaction was transparent but Russell said the firm has no website or any obvious public information or direct link to Deals name.
Fox 5 news director Mike McClain sent a statement today at about 5:30 p.m. to me: FOX 5 Atlanta stands by our I-Team investigation and Reporter Dale Russell. The barring of FOX 5 cameras from the bill signing today was unacceptable and obviously an emotional reaction to our I-Team investigation. Weve voiced out concerns to the Governors Office and hope that they will reconsider that decision.

Could just be a tempest in a teapot, but Deal is learning that he's no longer one of 435 congressmen. I don't have a problem with Deal hiring his duaghter in law for fund raising, by all accounts she's fully qualified. But when it looks like your trying to hide how much she's being paid then you've got a problem.

Deal’s deals should not distract from the significance of this expression of the people’s will to secure the borders. I hope Alligator Obama and the rest of the open border partisans are paying attention.

Is there anywhere to read this besides an excerpted blog?

There were only two articles about it. One if the Atlanta Journal Constitution political blog (excerpted here) and the other was from Fox Atlanta, which was a video with only two short accompanying paragraphs. I posted the most information I could.

Not all FOX television stations are fair and balanced. I’ve seen some that are very leftwingnut....so if this station did a hit job on Deal, I applaud him for telling them to shove it.

Whatever new there is about Nathan Deal, given the almost complete politicization of the media, including Fox, must be regarded in the context of Deal’s having been the only congressman in the nation to formerly ask for validation of Obama’s eligibility. Predictably the regime scoured Deal’s income tax returns for previous years, and found something they could use to bring a Democrat House Ethics Panel to begin an investigation. Anything you read is likely to be payback. The regime wants everyone to know that they don't forget.
Do your best to deny mainstream media income. Don't watch their programs. They are the useful idiots of the far left. Everything they claim should be questioned. Ask first "Who reported that?" Then wonder how that might help The Regime."

“Ask first “Who reported that?” Then wonder how that might help The Regime.”
I’m pretty sure it was an “inside job” leaked to discredit Deal.
