(Video)Graphic Artist Questions Obama Birth Cert. Says The Doc Has Been 'Edited In Its Entirety'

GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. -- Even after the White House offered up President Obama's birth certificate, there are still those who are questioning it's legitimacy.

One Grand Junction man who works as a graphic artist says he has discovered something strange about the certificate. "There's no doubt that it has been edited and quite significantly," James Colby said.

He's been involved in graphic arts since 2004 and has never had a reason to doubt our president's birthplace. In fact, he says he is politically independent. Yet, Colby says he can't ignore the obvious.

After downloading the birth certificate straight off of the White House's website, he started noticing the apparent flaws in a computer program called Adobe Illustrator.

"Legitimate digitized, scanned documents will always have [a] faded appearance... There are too many jagged features, here." he said as the scoured the certificate. "So, it's not a single document, it's actually 'compositive' layers."

Colby says scanned images should only have one digitized layer. He says President Obama's birth certificate has almost 50 layers. "You can see the layers flash yourself just by rapidly zooming in and out in your web browser. That means that the browser is rendering different layers."

Colby concedes that there are some instances where scanned images produce multiple layers. "It's a program called OCR that converts text in the images into computer readable text," he said. "But, it would never work on signatures. So, the fact that the signatures have been edited discounts the possibility of it being OCR."

Colby continued pointing out the apparent problems. "You'll notice the white background behind these letters, which is also super-imposed, actually covers up a little bit of the 'D' in this word," he explained. "Even his name has been edited, all except for the 'R' in 'Barack.'"

But, Colby can not figure out why the White House would release something so obvious. "The question is why is it so obvious," he said. "Maybe the original certificate was damaged, maybe it was faded, maybe someone was just trying to clean it up. [But,] you'd think if that was the case, they would supply the original certificate just so there would be no suspicions."

Colby says as strange as the edits are, they don't prove a thing. But, he believes that they do point in one direction. "It's definitely been edited in its entirety, so the indication would point to the probability of it being fake," he said. "But, nobody can really make that claim."

Colby isn't alone in believing the birth certificate has been altered. Other graphic artists and various conservative groups from across the country are saying the same thing.

Hawaii has not destroyed any original Birth Certificates and if they somehow did, what law authorized them to do so?

Send them a UIPA request and get it from the horse’s mouth if you don’t like what you read.

Firstly - the ORIGINAL records were not made on microfilm - they were written in ledgers, then transferred to the standard form. They maintain their own copies and back-up copies in Honolulu, which they have actually stated. Where have you been?

Teh single biggest error they made was NOT FLATTENING THE IMAGE

That is exactly what I thought when I saw the WH version. I could only come up with two possibilities. Either there was a small very compartmentalized and incompetent group involved (possibly including the DOH), or there was someone in this group who intentionally leaked the document as is. The strange thing is it is still a COLB.

The pose & email is wrong here and somewhat suspect in my opinion. I had an email exchange a couple of weeks ago with this Sharon Rondeau. I specifically asked about a raised seal in the long form birth certificate in this article you cite. She replied back that all the birth certificates had raised seals.

So then I asked her to pinpoint the seal on this long form BC in relationship to the other items on it, so that I might try to find it utilizing Photoshop enhancement. Shae replied back that she is not a document expert.

If you don't see this as BS, then you are part of the problem too.

Palafox gives up UH medical school post

Dr. Neal Palafox, who was asked by the governor to give up the state health director nomination in January, has now stepped down as lead administrative director and chairman of the Medicine Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the John A. Burns School of Medicine.

Spokeswoman Tina Shelton said Palafox made the request on April 18, and it has been approved by Dr. Jerris Hedges, medical school professor and dean.

No details were given on why Palafox stepped down.

Gov. Neil Abercrombie also has not said why he asked Palafox to withdraw his nomination as health director.

A television news report, citing unnamed sources, said Palafox was involved in a medical reimbursement investigation. Palafox has said he was not aware of an investigation.

Fukimo said she has personally inspected it — twice. The first time was in late October 2008, during the closing days of the presidential campaign, when the communications director for the state’s then Republican governor, Linda Lingle (who appointed Fukino) asked if she could make a public statement in response to claims then circulating on the Internet that Obama was actually born in Kenya.

I can’t help but think that you have a war chest in the hundreds of millions of dollars. You have a contingency out there in Hawaii meeting with these officials and representing Obama. You can basically accomplish whatever you wish with money. You can bribe, silence, threaten anyone.

This whole BC issue is the tip of the iceberg. Why not go after the other holes in this guy’s story? His school records, his social security question.
